WhatsApp releases a new iOS 25.36.10.71 update for some beta users; Check out what’s new

WhatsApp continuously shares new upgrades and improvements for its users on Android/iOS/Web to enhance the user experience and increase engagement on the platform. According to a new report by WABetaInfo, the company has now released a new iOS update for some beta users.

The update is released through the TestFlight Beta Program, bringing the version up to 25.36.10.71. It is available to some beta users and will be rolled out to more users over the coming weeks.

This update allows channel admins to create and share quiz-based updates with their followers. Admins can add questions, multiple answer options, and select the correct answer before publishing quizzes directly to their channels. The layout feels familiar, especially for those who have used the polls feature previously. Within the channel sharing interface, eligible admins can now find a Quiz option among the existing tools used to post updates.

These quizzes help users know which response is correct and allow them to see whether their answer was right or not. Once shared, the quiz is immediately visible in the channel and can be answered by anyone who can view the update. If the answer selected is correct, a brief confetti animation appears. After users take part, channel admins get access to detailed results. It is revealed that if participants are not in the admin’s contacts, their involvement is visible, but only limited information is shown about such participants.

This new feature will let channels feel more dynamic and can also be useful for admins to track the engagement of followers, while it can also strengthen the connection between admins and followers.

This quiz creation in channels is already available on the Android version, and it appears that soon it will be made available officially for iOS users as well.
