Upcoming iQOO 15R’s Geekbench listing reveals Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC, likely to come as rebranded iQOO Z11 Turbo

Back when we had spotted the iQOO 15R on the Bluetooth SIG with model number “I2508”, I kind of thought that iQOO was probably bringing the iQOO 15R just like OnePlus does with the OnePlus 15 and OnePlus 15R for the global audience. At that time, just like how the OnePlus 15 came with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and the OnePlus 15R came with Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, I assumed that since the iQOO 15 came with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, the iQOO 15R might come with Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. Well, it seems my earlier prediction is actually turning out to be true.

Its Geekbench listing has now appeared with an OpenCL score of 17,687, revealing that it will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC. The listing also shows that the device was running on Android 16 (OriginOS 6), though it does not mention which version of OriginOS 6, and it had 8GB RAM (6.99GB).

Recently, iQOO officially revealed the rear design of this smartphone, and the camera module matches that of the iQOO Z11 Turbo, which was recently launched in China and also comes with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC. This hints that the iQOO 15R will likely come as a rebranded iQOO Z11 Turbo. Even at the time when I had spotted it on the Bluetooth SIG, I had mentioned the same — that the iQOO 15R may arrive as a rebranded iQOO Z11 Turbo.

As confirmed by iQOO, it will launch via Amazon India and the iQOO India Website, but its microsite has not been listed yet. More details will likely surface soon, as some information, like the design, has already been officially confirmed.
