Samsung Galaxy S26 Series – More New Updates
This update comes from the X tipster @jukan05 and as per what has been noted by him, Samsung Electronics is planning to equip its next Galaxy S26 smartphone with the same camera units that were previously used on the Galaxy S25 device. While the brand was earlier believed to bring upgrades to the Galaxy S26 smartphone’s cameras, since Apple offered the standard iPhone 17 at the same price (USD 799) as that of its previous generation, Samsung also intends to do the same and for this, the brand has to find ways to reduce the costs. As per the details received via the camera module partners and component suppliers, the upcoming Galaxy S26 is pointed out to feature a 50MP wide-angle camera, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 10MP telephoto camera – which is the same as its predecessor. To add, the same source also mentions that some parts (like actuators) may be having certain changes, but the image sensors would likely remain the same.
Speaking more, while the price of the iPhone 17 was same as its predecessor, the latest device did have some notable feature upgrades such as the reliance on the LTPO technology from LTPS and increased base storage of 256GB from 128GB, and this means Samsung’s Galaxy S26 will be under tight competition. Moreover, as the design and component placements were previously decided based on the brand’s initial upgrade plan, new adjustments will have to be made in order to retain the previous camera sensors.
About the mass production, the Galaxy S26 Ultra model will enter mass production this month in December 2025 as mentioned by the tipster. Even though previous reports had suggested that the brand was planning to begin the mass production for the Galaxy S26 and the cancelled Galaxy S26 Edge in December 2025, this won’t be happening. The Galaxy S26 and the Galaxy S26 Plus models will have their mass production only in early next year (2026) as per the new update. Also, however much the brand tries to reduce costs, the increased price of memory semiconductors will mostly likely hike up the price of the Galaxy S26 series models.
