Samsung Galaxy M17e 5G pops up on Google Play Console with Dimensity 6300 SoC, Android 16 and 4GB RAM

After we had earlier discovered the Samsung Galaxy M17e 5G (SM-M076B) on the Google Play Console supported devices list, it has now appeared on the Google Play Console listing, revealing some key specifications of the smartphone.

Here is more to it.

The listing shows the device codename as Samsung a07x, with the moniker Galaxy M17e 5G mentioned in brackets at the top. The SoC (system-on-chip) is listed with the codename MediaTek MT6835V/TZ, featuring two CPU cores clocked at 2.4GHz and six cores at 2.0GHz, paired with the Mali-G57 GPU (962MHz). Based on the SoC codename and CPU configuration, this chipset appears to be the MediaTek Dimensity 6300.

The listing further reveals that the smartphone will run Android 16, feature 4GB RAM, and offer a 720 × 1600 pixels display resolution with a pixel density of 300 DPI.

Towards the bottom of the listing, the model number SM-A076M is mentioned. This further confirms that the Galaxy M17e 5G is likely a rebranded version of the upcoming Galaxy A07 5G, which is tipped to launch towards the end of January 2026. Interestingly, the earlier Galaxy A07 5G Google Play Console listing had revealed 8GB RAM, while this Galaxy M17e 5G listing shows only 4GB RAM, suggesting that the M-series variant could be a trimmed-down version.

The placeholder image used on the listing also appears identical to that of the Galaxy A07 5G. It shows a dual rear camera setup housed within a vertical pill-shaped camera module, with a circular LED flash placed beside the module. The image also highlights Samsung’s Key Island design on the right side, where the volume rocker and power button are positioned.

As mentioned earlier, Samsung typically uses the “e” suffix for its ultra-budget smartphones, and this listing further somewhat confirms that the Galaxy M17e 5G will likely come as a toned-down version of the Galaxy A07 5G.

In related news, we also recently spotted the Galaxy F70e 5G on the Google Play Console supported devices list with the model number “SM-E076B”. This device carries the same device codename “a07x”, suggesting that it too will be a rebranded version of the Galaxy A07 5G.

Historically, whenever Samsung launched a Galaxy A0X 5G smartphone, it was later rebranded as the Galaxy M0X 5G for Amazon India and the Galaxy F0X 5G for Flipkart. However, this time, Samsung appears to be shifting its naming strategy. Instead of introducing the Galaxy M07 5G and Galaxy F07 5G as expected, the company now seems to be opting for the new monikers Galaxy M17e 5G and Galaxy F70e 5G.

Samsung has not made any official announcement so far, but the device’s listing on the Google Play Console hints that a launch could be coming soon.
