POCO M8 5G (25118PC98G) and M8 Pro 5G (2510EPC8BG) Smartphones Spotted on UAE’s TDRA Certification Platform

 

The upcoming POCO M8 5G and POCO M8 Pro 5G smartphone models have now been spotted on the TDRA certification platform. Via the certification listing, their launch in the UAE market has also been confirmed.

POCO M8 5G (25118PC98G) and POCO M8 Pro 5G (2510EPC8BG) – TDRA Certification

On the TDRA certification platform, the POCO M8 5G smartphone carrying the model number of ‘25118PC98G’ and the POCO M8 Pro 5G smartphone carrying the model number of ‘2510EPC8BG’ have been listed (‘G’ – global variants), and the two have been certified with the respective equipment registration numbers of ‘ER53834/25’ and ‘ER53857/25’. The two are categorized as ‘Mobile Phones’, and their certification validity is mentioned to be till the 25th of November 2028. Also to note, both of their monikers have also been listed on the certification platform.

Looking into previous updates, the POCO M8 5G with the same model number of ‘25118PC98G’ earlier appeared on the NBTC and IMDA databases, and its Indian variant which has the model number of ‘25118PC98I’ was certified by the BIS authority. Speaking more, the POCO M8 5G is believed to be a re-branded version of the Redmi 15C 5G as its predecessors – the POCO M7 5G and the POCO M6 5G came as the re-branded versions of the Redmi 14C 5G and the Redmi 13C 5G models. However, some reports also claim that it could be a re-branded version of the Redmi Note 15 5G instead. About the POCO M8 Pro 5G, it received the IMDA certification last month, and this upcoming device is expected to hit the market as a re-branded version of the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G  smartphone.
