New POCO and Redmi Smartphones Certified by the BIS Authority, Confirming Their Launch in India

Xiaomi under its Redmi and POCO brandings has already released quite a few smartphone models this month in August 2025 and more Redmi and POCO branded smartphones are still in the pipeline awaiting their launch. Now, the BIS authority has certified three more new smartphones which will be unveiled under the Redmi and POCO brandings.
Here’s more about the update.
New POCO and Redmi Smartphones – BIS Certification
Two weeks back, the POCO ‘25098RA98I’ and Redmi ‘25118PC98I’ had received the BIS certification from India and following which, the POCO ‘2508CPC2BI’, POCO ‘2508CRC2BI’, and Redmi ‘2508CRN2BI’ smartphone devices have also now received the certification. The POCO ‘2508CPC2BI’ smartphone got the grant or inclusion onto the BIS database recently as of on the 26th of August 2025, whereas the POCO ‘2508CRC2BI’ and ‘2508CRN2BI’ were listed on the BIS database last week on the 19th of August 2025. All of these are the Indian variants as pointed out by the ‘I’ in their model numbers, and their launch in the Indian market has been confirmed via the BIS listing.

Speaking more, as per the listings on the IMEI database, the BIS-certified POCO ‘2508CPC2BI’ is mentioned to be the ‘POCO C85 5G’ and the Redmi ‘2508CRN2BI’ is listed as the ‘Redmi 15C 5G‘, and both of these are believed to be re-branded versions of each other. However, it has to be noted that another publication (XiaomiTime) also claims the POCO ‘2508CPC2BI’ to be the alleged ‘POCO M8’ smartphone. Regarding the POCO ‘25098RA98I’ smartphone, this device is suggested to be a re-branded version of the already-launched Redmi Note 15 5G Chinese variant.
In related news, a recent update had also suggested that the POCO M8 Pro device will be hitting the global market as a re-branded version of the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ smartphone this time.
