New leak reveals Sony WF-1000XM6 specs and features ahead of launch

Sony, in a recently released poster, revealed that a new TWS will be launching on February 12, 2026. Going by rumours, these are expected to be the Sony WF-1000XM6, as they were recently spotted on a Thai retailer’s listing, revealing the design and colour options (Black and Silver). Now, a publication named Dealabs has revealed almost all the specifications and features we can expect from the Sony WF-1000XM6.

Here is more to it.

The publication claims that the earbuds will feature a new QN3e processor, which is said to be three times faster than the QN2e introduced with the WF-1000XM5. From the earlier Thai listing, it was evident that the earbuds will likely feature four microphones on each earbud, a detail that this leak also reaffirms, bringing the total to eight adaptive microphones for more stable and effective noise reduction. Additionally, the report mentions an upgraded speaker, an improved DAC, and an enhanced amplifier.

The earbuds are also said to include a fitting guide, likely integrated into the Sony Sound Connect app, along with features such as 360 Reality Audio with head tracking, a smarter Ambient Mode with three automatic profiles, and support for LE Audio and Auracast. The report further notes that the equaliser will now offer 10 bands, up from 5 or 6 if we include the Clear Bass slider on the WF-1000XM5.

Other features mentioned in the report include up to 8 hours of playback on a single charge with an additional 16 hours via the charging case (including wireless charging), fast charging support, voice control, smart gesture controls, multipoint connectivity, Fast Pair and Swift Pair support, and an IPX4 rating for water resistance. The earbuds are also expected to ship with ear tips in four sizes: SS, S, M, and L.

Pricing from the Thai retailer listing suggests a price of THB 11,990, which roughly converts to around USD 380 or EUR 322. With only a few days left until the official launch, more concrete details are expected to be revealed soon.
