Several reports have claimed that Xiaomi will announce its first flip-style foldable phone, dubbed the Xiaomi Mix Flip, this year. It is expected to debut in the first half of this year. Now that the first quarter of 2024 is almost over, it appears that the MIX Flip may debut in two or three months. In a new leak, tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed key details about the device.
In a new Weibo post, DCS has talked about a small foldable phone that will come equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. While he has not explicitly mentioned the name of the device, it seems that he could be talking about the Xiaomi MIX Flip.
According to DCS, the internal foldable screen of the phone will have narrow bezels. On the back, it will have a massive cover display featuring two punch-hole cutouts for the dual-camera setup. As per previous reports, it will have a 50-megapixel primary camera with OIS support and a telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.
In addition, the tipster claimed that the current engineering prototype of the device has a battery capacity of around 4800/4900mAh. It supports wired charging similar to that of slim and light devices, which suggests that it may support 67W fast charging. Additionally, it will come in a multi-colour design.
As per other reports, the device has the 2405CPX3DC model number for the Chinese variant and the 2405CPX3DG model number for the global version. There is a possibility that the device may debut in May in China.
