Major Expectations at WWDC 2023

The first and foremost expected announcement at the WWDC 2023 event is regarding the updates of the company’s advancements in its operating systems which also includes the preview of iOS 17, iPadOS 17, macOS 14, and watchOS 10, along with some updates about Apple’s tvOS advancements.

Since Apple had been giving a lot of focus to its AR/VR headset, the company is likely to bring lesser updates to its operating systems. For iOS 17, a control center revamp, a contact key verification feature in iMessage and a few improvements to Apple’s Wallet app are the expected few features. The company, as per some reports, might also be bringing mood and emotion-tracking capabilities to iOS 17. In the case of iPadOS 17, the company is expected to bring certain improvements to its Stage Manager, support for lock screen widgets and customization, and a few enhancements to its Health app. For the macOS, Apple might not be planning to introduce anything new but will likely bring some of the iOS features to the operating system, just like before. Features like a multi-item clipboard, Time Machine iCloud backups, and Dynamic Island for the Mac are some of the expected features.

Regarding the hardware updates that are to be announced, the major and most awaited update is about Apple’s AR/VR headset, which as per rumors is called the Reality Pro. The Reality Pro will have both augmented reality and virtual reality capabilities. New versions of MacBook Air are also expected to be a part of Apple’s hardware announcements.

You might be wondering about the iPhone 15 series lineup. No, the company is likely not to introduce the Apple iPhone 15 series devices at the WWDC 2023 event and is expected to conduct a special event in the month of September.

Apart from these announcements updates in the Wallet app, Find My, Journaling app, and a few updates to SIRI are also expected to be announced at the event.
