Xiaomi HyperOS 3 Launch Set to Take Place Tomorrow on the 28th of August 2025 in China

The Chinese consumer electronics maker – Xiaomi has now announced the launch of the next HyperOS 3 custom in its home market in China. Additionally, it has also been reported that the brand has begun recruiting users of certain smartphones and tablets for the beta program too.

Xiaomi HyperOS 3 – Launching Tomorrow in China

As pointed out, Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3 custom skin will be officially launched tomorrow on 28th August 2025 at 3:00 PM local time in the Chinese market, and surprisingly this is two months ahead when compared with the brand’s earlier/usual launch time frames. For reference, the previous Xiaomi HyperOS 2 custom skin was unveiled on the 29th of October 2025. Speaking more, from what can be assumed, the upcoming HyperOS 3 will be based on the Android 16 operating system and probably the early release of the latest Android OS version could be the reason why Xiaomi is also being able to do the same.

Along with the launch announcement, the recruitment for Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3 beta program has also begun in China, for Xiaomi 15 Ultra, Xiaomi 15S Pro, Xiaomi 15 Pro, Xiaomi 15, Redmi K80 Ultra/Extreme Edition, and Redmi K80 Pro smartphone users as well as for Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro 12.5 and Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro tablet users. Also to add, the early release of the custom skin and the early recruitment for the beta program would obviously mean that possibly the stable version roll-out of the Xiaomi HyperOS 3 to eligible users could be starting soon too.

With respect to the Xiaomi HyperOS 3 launch, Lu Weibing (Xiaomi Group Partner and President) stated that the latest custom skin is aimed to ensure a smooth, responsive, natural, and continuous feel for its users, at the same time it will also offer functional aspects to further enhance the easiness of use.
