According to Samsung, this update does not bring any new features or UI changes. More precisely, the current update for the Galaxy S23 series incorporates the most recent July 2025 Android security patch. It mainly focuses on key security and enhances the system’s overall stability. This update includes Knox security enhancements, Galaxy Watch SystemUI improvements, Samsung Account protections, Wi-Fi password security, Bluetooth connectivity fixes, and Emergency SOS functionality updates, which work behind the scenes to protect your device from external threats. However, internal testing of One UI 8 based on Android 16 has already begun for these models.
The July 2025 security update is currently available in Europe and South Korea, with more countries expected to follow in the coming weeks. Users can check and install the update by navigating to their device’s Settings > Software Update > Download and install.
