POCO F7 Indian variant receives its first OTA software update; Includes camera fixes and June 2025 security patch

Back in June. POCO officially unveiled its all-new POCO F7 smartphone globally as well as in the Indian market. The company has now released the first OTA software update for the POCO F7 smartphone in India.

The update arrives with version number 2.0.102.0.VOLINXM and the size of this update is 212MB.

It is said that the changes included in this update are based on feedback collected from early users and the broader POCO community. Reportedly, POCO is working on another update called OTA3, which should arrive by the end of August 2025.

POCO F7: Specifications

The latest POCO F7 smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip, integrated with the Adreno 825 GPU, and it runs on the Android 15-based HyperOS 2 custom skin. Two storage models are available for the device, and customers will be able to purchase it in 12GB/256GB and 12GB/512GB storage options (LPDDR5X RAM + UFS 4.1 storage). It also has a 6000 mm² 3D dual-channel IceLoop system for heat dissipation.

A 6.83″ AMOLED display screen is featured on the device, supporting 1280 x 2772 pixel resolution (1.5K) and a 120Hz refresh rate. 3840Hz PWM dimming, 3200 nits peak brightness rate, 447 PPI pixel density, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision are other display-related specs. Additionally, the display is also protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection.

About its cameras, at the rear, a 50MP primary shooter with OIS support and an 8MP ultra-wide camera has been given, and for selfies, a 20MP front-facing camera is present within a centrally-placed punch-hole unit.

Regarding its battery, the global variant of the device carries a battery backup of 6500 mAh, whereas the Indian variant packs a larger battery of 7550 mAh. For a faster charging experience, a 90W wired fast charge support is given, along with a 22.5W reverse wired charging feature.

Furthermore, the device is IP68 dust and water resistant and is capable of withstanding submersion in water of up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes. Notably, it is 8.2 mm thin and weighs only 215.7g, and offers 140% improved frame strength and 70 kg bend resistance. Three color variants are also available for the device: Frost White, Phantom Black, and Cyber Silver (Limited Edition).
