OnePlus releases OxygenOS 15.0.2.601 update for the OnePlus Nord CE 5 in India

A few days ago, OnePlus released the OxygenOS 15.0.2.601 update for the OnePlus 13s smartphone. Now, the same update is being rolled out for OnePlus Nord CE 5 users as well. At present, the rollout is limited to the India region, with availability in other regions expected to follow soon. However, officially, only the Indian release has been confirmed at the time of writing.

If you haven’t received the update yet, you may need to wait a little longer, as the complete rollout usually takes about a week or two. Alternatively, you can check for the update manually by going to your phone’s Settings, scrolling down to Software Update, and letting the system automatically check if the update is available.

Here is what you will get in this update

Animations for Live Alerts and notifications on the lock screen have been improved for a more seamless experience. A new map album has been added to Photos, allowing you to see all your location-tagged pictures on a map.

If you move photos from the Private album back to public, they will return to their original spots, making them easier to find. You also have more control over your privacy, with the option to change your password from any Private Safe page or directly inside the Locked album.

In Phone Manager, you can now check both daily and weekly screen time, which helps you manage your usage better. The IR Remote app has a cleaner button layout as well. Along with all this, the September 2025 Android security patch is included to keep your device safe and up to date.
