The Chinese smartphone and other consumer electronics manufacturer, OnePlus, has rolled out a new firmware update for its 8T flagship device in India. The update carries the January 2024 Android security patch, as well as certain improvements and fixes.

OnePlus 8T – OxygenOS 14.0.0.300 Update
The OxygenOS update that the OnePlus 8T smartphone users in India is currently receiving has the firmware version – “KB2001_14.0.0.300(EX01)”. As mentioned, the January 2024 Android security patch will be integrated to the device.
About the other changelogs, system stability and performance have been improved, battery life in certain cases have been extended, fingerprint icon remaining even after device unlock issue is fixed, and the Background stream feature on the Smart Sidebar has been taken away. To add, improvements in camera stability are also part of the update.

The OTA update rollout has already started and few of the OnePlus 8T smartphone users in India might have received the update. For others, a broader roll out is scheduled to take place in the coming few days.
Feedback regarding any sorts of bugs or other issues can be submitted via the pop-up window that appears on dialing “*#800#” on the Google Dialer.
