OnePlus 13 Gets OxygenOS 15.0.0.860 Update in India with BeaconLink, Along with System File Update (15.0.0.860patch01) for Some Users

Earlier, OnePlus released an update for the OnePlus 13s, which is currently being rolled out. Now, the OnePlus 13’s new OxygenOS 15.0.0.860 update is also being pushed via OTA (Over the Air) in the India region, and it is likely to roll out to other regions soon. This update not only brings the September 2025 security patch but also includes some new features, which I will detail in this article below.

Here is what is new in this update

According to the changelog, the update improves animations when tapping Live Alerts or notifications on the lock screen. It adds a map album that displays all images with location data on a map. After you set photos in the Private album as public, they will now reappear in their original locations, making them easier to find.

Users can also change their privacy password from the secondary pages of Private Safe and from the Locked album in Photos. The update adds daily and weekly screen time tracking in App Management under Phone Manager and adjusts the layout of remote control panel buttons in IR Remote.

Finally, the BeaconLink feature has been added with this update. It allows sending text, image, and voice messages to nearby people without an internet connection, available under Settings → Mobile network → BeaconLink. The update also includes the September 2025 Android security patch to enhance system security.

Along with this update, some users have also received a system files update with patch version 15.0.0.860patch01 and a total size of 3.1MB. This system file update fixes known system issues and improves system stability.

Since the rollout has just begun, some users may receive this update early, while others may get it later. The rollout is expected to be completed within a week or two.
