One UI 8.5 Revealed to Bring Major Upgrades: Expanded Dark Theme, Third Party-Supported Lock Screen Widgets, Granular Haptic Feedback Control, and More Coming

Samsung’s next One UI 8.5 custom skin will be bringing to its users many new features and followed by the previous updates, new updates have now arrived revealing more about the major upgrades that the brand will be offering its Galaxy users.

One UI 8.5 – Revealed Major Upgrades
As per the details revealed (via the X tipster @tarunvats), the Android 16 QPR2-based One UI 8.5 custom skin is believed to be Samsung’s biggest update so far, and it will be bringing features such as the Expanded Dark Theme, Forced App Icon Theming, Lock Screen Widgets with third party support, Native Step Tracking via Health Connect, Granular Haptic Feedback Control, and PDF Annotation and Editing. Furthermore, there are a few UI improvements that can be expected for the brand’s Phone app too, and even the smallest details will be polished with the latest custom skin.
The same tipster who has shared the update has also announced a giveaway of the One UI 8.5 dark themed app icons (created by AndroidTools3), and it is revealed to feature 1,775 redesigned app icons.
Looking into previous updates concerning Samsung’s One UI 8.5 custom skin, refreshed battery graph UI, new album art transition effect in the media player, adaptive clock, weather effect, floating search bar, bold status bar icon, new software update download page, system-wide 3D app icons, Weather app with new gradient coloring, and redesigned menus were all revealed earlier it. In the coming days, even more updates can be expected which may shed more light on the One UI 8.5 features and upgrades.
