Galaxy S22 Series Joins the July 2025 Security Update

Samsung has started rolling out the July 2025 security update for the Galaxy S22 series in Europe. Just recently, Samsung released the July 2025 security patch for the Galaxy S23 series.

The July 2025 software update provides the most recent security patches to address one critical and 21 high-level Android vulnerabilities, as well as 17 other improvements from Samsung to improve phone security and performance. The update aims to improve the stability and safety of the Galaxy S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra devices.

Software versions:

  • S901NKSS7FYG1 – Galaxy S22 5G
  • S906NKSS7FYG1 – Galaxy S22 Plus
  • S908NKSS7FYG1 – Galaxy S22 Ultra

The update does not include any new features, but instead focuses on security enhancements and bug fixes. It continues providing software maintenance for its flagship phones ahead of the forthcoming major One UI 8 update based on Android 16, which is expected later this year.

The July 2025 security update is currently available in Europe and South Korea, with more countries expected to follow in the coming weeks. Users can check and install the update by navigating to their device’s Settings > Software Update > Download and install.
