SimpleX Chat Public Beta Now Available on Apple Devices, Via TestFlight

The very first messenger app that has no identifiers of any kind, SimpleX Chat by SimpleX can now be accessed on Apple devices as the public beta version. The application can be downloaded via Apple’s TestFlight, following the necessary steps.

Read more about it below.

SimpleX Chat

As mentioned above, SimpleX Chat does not use any kind of identifier and is the first of its kind. As there are no user IDs or random phone numbers being used, privacy is redefined and to whom users should connect and communicate, is upto them. To start a private conversation, users can share their one-time QR code, which can be shared in person or as a video link, or they can connect with the help of the invitation link shared by the other.

There are four reasons why SimpleX Chat is the best platform in terms of privacy. The platform hides its user’s profile, contacts, and metadata from other observers and from the SimpleX Chat platform servers themselves. As there are no fixed identifiers for you, you are always protected from spam and abuse. SimpleX users have full control over their data, which are stored in their respective devices in a portable encrypted database format, that is only temporarily held by SimpleX. Finally, SimpleX has a decentralized platform, making it independent of other platforms. Users can use SimpleX Chat on their own servers and with servers provided by SimpleX.

Features

  • E2E-encrypted messages
  • E2E-encrypted voice messages
  • E2E-encrypted images and files
  • E2E-encrypted audio and video calls
  • Decentralized secret groups
  • Disappearing messages
  • Portable encrypted database
  • Incognito mode

Download Via TestFlight

Those of you who wish to download SimpleX Chat on your Apple devices can do so by installing the TestFlight application and then opening the SimpleX Chat link. After the process, users will be able to access the app or app clips(and not both at the same) via TestFlight.
