Here’s the All-New and Redesigned Fitbit App: An Updated Interface to Offer the Best User Experience

Google will soon be making its all-new and redesigned Fitbit app available to all of its users, but at the time being, the company has decided to roll it out as a limited beta version to a few of its selected Fitbit users. With the feedback received, Google hopes to make more improvements and make sure that there are no bugs or issues in the new Fitbit app.

Check out the latest updates and features of the app below.

All-New and Redesigned Fitbit App

The all-new and redesigned Fitbit app has a three tab user interface which is categorized into “Today”, “Coach” and “You”.

In the “Today” tab, users will be able to find their top stats just at a glance and will also be able to easily compare them with the past day’s stat, month or even a year’s with the help of charts, graphs and icons. Users can also customize their metrics as per their choice and choose which should come first or which should be displayed.

The “Coach” tab is again a very useful tab where users will be able to find a curated list of workouts and other such contents. With the Fitbit Premium subscription, users will be able to unlock more contents, including contents regarding HIIT(High Intensity Interval Training) and dance cardio classes.

The “You” tab is a personal section where users will be able to adjust their personal goals, track their achievements and manage their community connections.

Speaking more about its design changes, the design change has been made in respect to Google’s Material Design guidelines and is also based on the feedback received from many users. This makes sure that the all-new and redesigned Fitbit app still gives that energetic feel to all of its users. New colour palettes, refreshed photos and illustrations, and updated icons are also part of this.

Now coming to the functionality side, the app now permits users to log in their information if they don’t own a Fitbit device. Updates have also been made to give its users accurate step details and also a live view on the map. The permission and security features have also been made in an easy-to-understand manner and the data from Fitbit won’t be used to deliver Google ads.

Google plans to release the latest updated version of the app later this fall, likely by the end of this year, and after which, everyone will be able to experience the new design changes and features themselves.
