Google Drive Web Version Gets Much Awaited Dark Mode

Google has finally rolled out the dark mode on Google Drive web. This highly requested feature has been there on Android and iOS apps for Drive but was not available on the web version. And now when it has reached the web version we must say that it will reduce the strain on the user’s eyes. Users can change the theme by going to Drive>Settings> Appearance > Dark Mode.

Those who have opened the web version of the Drive for the first time after the rollout of this feature will be prompted to shift from Light to Dark mode.

Users can also go with themes based on device defaults(meaning if you have a dark theme enabled it will opt for it automatically). The dark mode is available to all users including the workspace and personal accounts. You can also check out the theme and in case you have done it you will find it a pale shade of dark grey rather than pitch black. Apart from this, nothing new has been rolled out to the users though the report suggests that the mobile version of the Google Drive can get some things with the update. The update is being rolled out in batches, so if you have not got access to this dark mode wait a while you will soon receive it. For such interesting tech updates stay tuned with TechOutlook.
