Two new smartphones from Xiaomi, the Redmi A2, and the Redmi A2+ have been spotted on the NBTC certification website. There isn’t much details available from the certification except for the model numbers of the two smartphones and the network connectivity these devices will be supporting.

The Redmi A2 has appeared on the certification with a model number of 23028RN4DG and the Redmi A2+ has a model number of 23028RNCAG in the certification. Both the smartphones will be supporting 2G, 3G and 4G network connectivity and will not be supporting 5G network connectivity.

Expected Specifications

Now speaking of the specifications that can be expected, the Redmi A2 smartphone will likely be launched equipped with the MediaTek Helio G36 (12 nm) chipset with a primary clock speed of 2.2 GHz. The device is also expected to operate on the Android 13 (Go edition) based MIUI 13 custom user interface.

The smartphone will also likely have an IPS LCD display with a screen size of 6.52 inches and a screen resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. The device is also expected to have an 8MP + 2MP dual camera setup on its rear along with a front-facing camera of 5MP. The Redmi A2 will likely have a battery backup of 5000 mAh as well, with a 10W fast charge support.

Now about the Redmi A2+, there aren’t many reliable details available about the smartphone. However, the absence of a fingerprint sensor in the Redmi A2 smartphone points that the spec will come as an exclusive feature in the Redmi A2+ smartphone.

Both smartphones apart from the NBTC certification have also received EEC, TUV, and BIS certifications, which points to the imminent launch of the two devices. Just like the previously introduced Redmi A1 and A1+ smartphones, the upcoming Redmi A2 and the Redmi A2+ smartphones will also likely be priced at a budget-friendly price point.
