Triumph Speed 400 And Scrambler 400 X Unveiled And Is Ready For Launch

The Triumph Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X have been unveiled recently. These two motorcycles were built in collaboration with Bajaj and will be manufactured in India.

Both motorcycles will come with all-new engines and will be launched in India on July 5, 2023. The new 398 cc, single-cylinder motor is capable of producing a peak power of 39.4 hp and a peak torque of 37Nm.

This liquid-cooled motor has been mated to a 6-speed gearbox and gets a ride-by-wire system. Traction control is present on both models and can also be switched off.

Both bikes have disc brakes on the front and rear wheels with dual-channel ABS. The Scrambler 400 X has the option of switching off the rear ABS. The Speed 400 is equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels, while the Scrambler 400 X has a 19-inch alloy wheel at the front.

Suspension hardware in both the motorcycles is a 43 mm USD fork at the front and a mono-shock at the rear side. The Scrambler 400 X has an additional 10 mm travel for the USD forks and 20 mm for the mono-shock compared to the Speed 400.

The Scrambler 400 X is longer, taller, and wider than the Speed 400. The Scrambler has a wheelbase of 1,190 mm and has a total length of 2,117 mm and the Speed 400 gets a 1,377 mm long wheelbase and a total length of 2,056 mm.

The seat height of the Speed 400 is 790 mm and the Scrambler 400 X has a seat height of 835 mm. The Speed 400 weighs 170 kilograms and the Scrambler 400 X weighs 179 kilograms.
