Qualcomm Revealed to Announce its Snapdragon 8 Elite Successor on 24th September 2025

The leading American semi-conductor brand – Qualcomm had officially announced back in May 2025 that it will be conducting its Snapdragon Summit 2025 in Maui, Hawaii from the 23rd to the 25th of September 2025. Now, it has been reported that a similar event will be conducted in the Chinese market as well around the same time, and the Snapdragon 8 Elite successor could possibly be unveiled on the first day of the event.

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Successor Launching on 24th September 2025?

As per the poster image shared, Qualcomm in association with the Snapdragon Summit 2025, will also be conducting an event in Beijing, China, from the 24th of September 2025 to the 25th of September 2025. The brand’s next Snapdragon 8 series flagship chip is said to be announced on the first day of the event (24th of September 2025), and we are already aware that Xiaomi’s 16 series smartphones which are believed to be the first to feature the latest Snapdragon 8-series flagship chip will also be debuting this month in September 2025. Probably, soon after the chip launch, the Chinese smartphone maker could also be announcing the launch of its next digital series flagship smartphones.

Speaking more, it is still not clear what Qualcomm plans to call its next Snapdragon 8-series chip. While most updates point to ‘Snapdragon 8 Elite 2’, there are a few other updates which suggest ‘Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5’. Probably, in the coming days, we may be coming across more updates which could be giving a better clarity on the matter. Also, following the launch that will be taking place two weeks later, we will be able to confirm all chip related details as well.
