Europe sees huge jump of Monkeypox cases in country

 

A few dozen Monkeypox cases have been found in the United Kingdom, Portugal and Spain.

The outbreak of this disease concerns the public because this disease was mostly recorded in west, Central Africa and there are very less chances of spreading in other countries.

Monkeypox was first found in monkeys in 1958 but the smallpox were uprooted when vaccination for the same was provided in 1980.

But now mice are considered as a source of Monkeypox in humans. In this disease, the fellow infected person experiences mild fever and mild bumpy rashes as a symptom.

There are also two main strains: the Congo strain – it’s a severe with 10% morality and

The West African – which has a higher death rate than 1% of cases.

Basically, this virus is contagious and can be spread through close contact whether from animals or humans.

Portugal has confirmed 5 cases of Monkeypox and Spain is testing 23 people who can be infected by the virus.

UK have recorded 9 cases till 18th May and the infected people are gay, bisexual or a men who have sex with men. After learning this, the UK Health Security Agency advised those community people to be alert.

The experts also made the public believe that this virus won’t cause nationwide epidemic like COVID-19, but still the situation is in very difficult stage because of the sudden outbreak of the virus

which is a deadly disease and which needs to be cured as soon as possible.
