X Chat integrated into the X platform; Musk confirms that users can now do audio and video calls with X Chat

At the beginning of this month, Elon Musk announced that X Chat will be introduced as a standalone messaging app in a few months, and this messaging capability was also said to be introduced in the X platform.
Well, X has now merged DMs into its encrypted chat system. Users can access it through the Chat tab in the app’s navigation bar. This messaging system is currently in its Beta version and has replaced the direct messaging feature. X Chat includes encrypted messaging for end-to-end security. You can share images, files, GIFs, and media files with other users.

Elon Musk has also confirmed that users can do audio and video calls with X Chat. If it’s your first time using the Chat option, you will be asked to create a 4-digit security PIN for enhanced privacy. This integrated messaging system focuses on Musk’s vision to turn the X platform into an everything app.
Reportedly, many advanced features related to X Chat will be initially made available primarily to X Premium subscribers.
