Telegram Latest App Update Brings 12 Added Features in a Month: Notes for Contacts, New Profile Styles, Liquid Glass Input Field & Tabs, and Many More

A new app update has now been rolled out for Telegram and it has brought 12 added features to the cloud-based messaging platform. Telegram Founder and CEO – Pavel Durov himself has shared this exciting news via his X handle.
Here’s more about it.
Telegram Gets a New App Update – 12 Added Features Rolled Out
As mentioned, a new app update for Telegram is now out following the previous August 2025 major update. This app update has brought 12 added features and these include the E2E Comments & Reactions in Calls, Notes for Contacts, Suggested Birthdays, Threads & Streaming for AI Bots, Bugs & Suggestions Mini App, New Profile Styles, Improved Gift UI, On-chain NFTs on Profiles, Gift Signature Removal, and Liquid Glass Input Field & Tabs.

Speaking more, Telegram users after updating the app to the latest version can send comments and reactions in the call interface for group calls and video chats with less than 1,000 participants. All the comments and reactions are temporary, and they only appear on the screen for a brief period of time. Just like the WhatsApp iOS update, Telegram for iOS is also bringing the Liquid Glass Interface to match with Apple’s iOS 26 operating system. Transparent elements with a refraction effect are its notable changes and it can be seen with respect to the bottom navigation bar, sticker panel, keyboard, and more.
With the latest update, Telegram users can also add notes for contacts, which will appear on the contact’s profile page and it will only be visible to them. Users will also be able to suggest a birthday for a contact when editing their profile, helping others to celebrate it with Telegram gifts and more. Also, in the main Settings page, users will be able to change the profile appearance too, along with unique reply styles. Moreover, bots now support threaded conversations too, and the responses can be streamed directly as they get generated.
Coming to the gift interface, the improvements have streamlined it to show all the gifts (from the gift marketplace as well) in a single list. Additionally the descriptions like who sent the gift and the custom message (if any) can be removed. Gifts can also be moved to blockchain and if users connect their account with Fragment, blockchain gifts can be showcased on their Telegram profile.
Finally, the Telegram site that was launched back in 2020 for the purpose of reporting bugs and suggesting new features is now available as an official mini app. Without switching between apps, users can share details concerning bugs and features taking just a few taps.
