Musk Approves the Idea of Offering X Mail Email Address on X Chat?
While the standalone X Chat app is still yet to be launched, it has now been integrated on the X platform and made available to both iOS and web users by merging DMs into its encrypted chat system. Notably, encrypted messaging for end-to-end security as well as the capability to send images, files, GIFs, and more are among its features. Audio call and video call supports have also been given. Users are also asked to create a 4-digit security PIN when using the app for the first time, to ensure safety and protection. Late last month, the brand had also brought out the block screenshots and screenshot notification features on X Chat.
Just recently, an X user who goes by the name – Nima Owji (@nima_owji) proposed an idea by posting his thought that the X platform should expand X Chat by providing each of its users an X Mail email address too. With this ‘@X.com’ email address, users should also be allowed to send emails using it, as opined by the mentioned X user. Even though this isn’t an official update and is just a suggestion from an independent app researcher and web developer, Elon Musk himself has commented on his post, stating ‘I agree’!

Speaking more, this is not the first time the idea of X Mail has come to a discussion, and Musk had previously shared about how the overall working of messaging and email should have to be rethought. Also, with X Mail, the brand will be coming into direct competition with Google’s widely-used Gmail service. From the other comments, many of X users have also shown their interest to have an X.com mail, and Musk had previously added that unlike a thread-like style, his email service will probably be having a DM-like styled user interface.
