Gemini in Android Studio Now Supports Dart and Flutter Development

Google has now made an exciting announcement for Flutter developers by bringing Dart and Flutter development support on Gemini in Android Studio. Developers can thus start relying on Gemini within their favorite IDE and create better Flutter apps – both faster and easier.
Here’s more about it.
Gemini in Android Studio – Dart and Flutter Development Support
As mentioned, Gemini in Android Studio now supports Dart and Flutter development with capabilities such as Dart syntax recognition, Flutter widgets and layouts understanding, and context-aware suggestions. These features will enable developers to generate full UI code with just a single prompt, instantly fix layout errors such as misaligned widgets or overflowing pixels, get explanations and documentation regarding how a particular widget works, enhance Dart code (~ codebase and readability), as well as speed up the testing process with AI-generated tests.
Other key features are context-aware chat (- get tailored responses for questions concerning the Flutter project), smart code completion (- get suggestions for Dart code, Flutter widgets, and pubspec.yaml dependencies), actionable insights (- get insights about the code for performance improvement, bugs identification, and best practices), and prompt library (- get common Flutter-specific codes used previously from the library).
Gemini in Android Studio for Flutter development is already available for free and those who are interested can download the latest version of Android Studio > enable Gemini > and start chatting. Additionally to enable enterprise-grade privacy and security features from Google Cloud (Gemini in Android Studio for businesses), users/developers will have to purchase a Gemini Code Assist Standard or Enterprise license.
Also, Google encourages feedback to help Gemini in Android Studio improve – by submitting thumbs-up/thumbs-down on generated outputs and by submitting feedback via the Provide Feedback option.
