Grand Auto Theft VI (GTA VI) is probably one of the most awaited games till now. Initially, it was announced that the game would be released in 2025, but later the release date was postponed to 26th May 2026. Well, that was not it, the company once again decided to postpone the release, and as of now, GTA VI is officially announced to launch on 19th November, 2026.
Due to these delays, there were speculations about whether the company would again postpone the release. It appears that they are now confident about the November release, as the marketing timeline for this game is also officially announced (via IGN).
While announcing its Fiscal Q3 2026 earnings results, Take-Two has reaffirmed that GTA VI is indeed planned for 19th November 2026. While the company has also sent a press release to IGN in which they have mentioned, “Our execution throughout Fiscal 2026 has been extraordinary and we are highly confident as we approach Fiscal 2027- which promises to be groundbreaking for Take-Two and the entire entertainment industry-led by the November 19th release of Grand Auto Theft VI with Rockstar’s launch marketing set to begin this Summer.”
When IGN questioned Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick about how this confidence on November release date is different from the past assurances, he said, “ Any time you’re getting closer to marketing beats, you’re obviously in a place where your confidence level is as high as it can be.”
Well, with these affirmations and the marketing timeline, it does look like the company is finally ready for the GTA VI release, but looking at the previous record, it’s better to wait for the official marketing to begin in Summer 2026.
