OPPO Pad 5 Matte Display Edition Unveiled in the Global Market; OPPO Pad 5 Flipkart Landing Page Also Now Live in India
In the Malaysian market, the launch of the Reno 15 series smartphones are scheduled to take place on the 6th of January 2025, and both the OPPO Pad 5 Matte Display Edition and OPPO Watch S were teased in the country, suggesting that they may also be unveiled alongside the latest smartphones. Ahead of it, via the OPPO official website for the global audience, the OPPO Pad 5 Matte Display Edition has been unveiled.
For the Indian customers too, the brand has announced the soon launch of the Reno 15 series, and the Reno 15 5G, Reno 15 Pro 5G, and Reno 15 Pro Mini 5G models are said to hit the market. Previously, the OPPO Pad 5 listings were spotted on the landing pages of the Reno 15 series that went live on the brand’s official India website and also on Flipkart, and these hinted that OPPO’s Pad 5 tablet may also be brought out in India. Now, a separate Flipkart landing for the OPPO Pad 5 tablet is live in India, revealing its full key specs and confirming its India launch.

OPPO Pad 5 Matte Display Edition – Unveiled in the Global Market
OPPO’s Pad 5 Matte Display Edition tablet features a 12.1″ 2.8K anti-glare matte display which supports 2.8K resolution (2800 x 1980 pixels), 284 PPI pixel density, 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, 900nits peak brightness, and Dolby Vision. It has an aspect ratio of 7:5, and has received the TUV Rheinland’s Reflection Free and Intelligent Eye Care 4.0 certifications (cuts glare by 97% and Blue light by 70%). Additionally, it supports the flagship-grade low-latency OPPO Pencil 2R that offers up to 20 hours of usage time, and with its fast charge support, 10 minutes = 12 hours of use. Real-time handwriting polish is also among its key specs. AI-powered note-taking features are also part of the device, and users can access Circle to Note, AI Recording Summary, AI Summary, and Handwriting Formula Calculation. AI Eraser is also a part of this device.

On the battery side, it equips a large 10050 mAh battery, and the device will be supporting a 33W SUPERVOOC fast charging capability. Up to 53 hours of online music playback, up to 15 hours of online video playback, and up to 6 hours heavy gaming are its other battery-related aspects. For an immersive audio experience, the device has a quad speaker system too that is claimed to offer a rich and cinematic audio output. Seamless cross-ecosystem connectivity is also supported, and users will easily be able to transfer photos, files, and videos across OPPO Pad, iPhone, or PC devices. A selfie taken on an iPhone can also be edited on the downloaded O+ Connect as well.
The ColorOS 16 custom skin based on the Android 16 operating system runs on the device, and it is claimed to offer 48 months of fluency protection. Moreover, the TUV SUD’s 48-Month Class A Fluency certification has also been received by OPPO’s Pad 5 Matte Display Edition. Quick App Launch & Switch and Flux Home Screen are also features aimed to provide a better user experience.
Two color choices are there for the device, and customers will be able to get the OPPO Pad 5 Matte Display Edition in Aurora Pink and Starlight Black colors.
OPPO Pad 5 – Flipkart Landing Page Now Live in India
In the Indian market, the OPPO Pad 5 tablet will be breaking its cover soon, and its Flipkart landing page is now live in the country. The normal version of the OPPO Pad 5 tablet also features the same specs as its Matte Display Edition, and the only difference is with the display screen. For the normal version, customers can expect a 12.1″ (30.73cm) large eye-comfort display supporting a 2.8K resolution (2800 x 1980 pixels). 284 PPI pixel density, 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, 900nits peak brightness, and Dolby Vision are also supported, and its aspect ratio is 7:5 itself.
To add, the Indian customers can also expect the Aurora Pink and Starlight Black color variants for the OPPO Pad 5 tablet.

Just to add, unlike the OPPO Pad 5 Chinese variant, the OPPO Pad 5 model that will be coming to the global and Indian markets will be a re-branded version of the OPPO Pad Air 5 tablet that recently debuted in China, and this device is also a re-branded version of the OnePlus Pad Go 2 tablet.
