Yesterday, Xiaomi officially confirmed that its Xiaomi 17 series will be making its debut in the Chinese market on 25th September, and the pre-orders for this upcoming series have already started in the country. The Xiaomi 17 series will include the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro, and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max devices.
The brand has already started teasing the features of the Xiaomi 17 series, and today, some more details related to the series have been shared online.
Xiaomi 17 Series: New teasers
Xiaomi 17 series is revealed to be equipped with the all-new M10 screen luminescence technology, using domestically produced new red luminescent material with a world-leading luminous efficiency of 82.1 cd/A, challenging the industry’s highest luminous efficiency. With this technology, the series is expected to offer 11.4% improved luminous efficiency.
Xiaomi 17 Pro Max features an ultra-advanced display technology. It uses super pixels, a breakthrough in small-sized OLED technology. It is said that full RGB pixels are independently arranged, eliminating pixel pooling. The technology is ultra-clear, with a total sub-pixel count comparable to traditional 2K screens, and is also teased to be ultra-power efficient as it consumes 26% less power than traditional 2K displays.
Previous reports revealed that the Xiaomi 17 series will be the first to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC (scheduled to launch at the Snapdragon Summit from September 23rd to 25th) with HyperOS 3 based on Android 16. The Xiaomi 17 Pro models will also debut a secondary rear display, which Xiaomi calls the “Magic Screen.” This display can show app information, clock faces, a selfie viewfinder, incoming calls, and music playback controls.
Alleged 3C listings for both the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Pro have revealed support for 100W fast wired charging.
