Vivo Pad 5 Pro Soft Light Edition with 13″ 3.1K Eye-Care Display and Dimensity 9400 SoC Launched in China

Vivo has launched the Vivo S50 series in China today, and alongside it, the company has also launched the Vivo Pad 5 Pro Soft Light Edition. Talking about the specs, it carries the same spec sheet as the Vivo Pad 5 Pro, which was launched in April this year in China, with the only difference being that this new variant is designed to reduce eye strain.

Vivo Pad 5 Pro Soft Light Edition Specs and Features

It features a 13″ 3.1K ultra-clear eye-care soft light display, designed to deliver sharp visuals while remaining comfortable on the eyes. The screen offers a 3.1K resolution, 144Hz high refresh rate, and up to 1200 nits peak brightness, along with a 3:2 aspect ratio. It supports 10.7 billion colours, P3 wide colour gamut, HDR10, and achieves a ΔE ≤ 0.8 for high colour accuracy.

Vivo also highlights its advanced eye-protection technology, claiming 98% eye-care optimisation, 50% reduced glare, 57% paper-like writing experience, and 25% paper-like visual texture, thanks to its nano-level matte etching process, which improves clarity while reducing reflections and eye strain.

The tablet offers a PC-level WPS experience, supports high-frame-rate gaming, and delivers an eight-speaker panoramic HDR audio setup.

Just like the Pad 5 Pro, it is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400 SoC, paired with the Immortalis-G925 GPU and 40,600mm² VC cooling system, along with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 3.1 / UFS 4.0 storage. It runs Android 15-based OriginOS 5 for Pad out of the box.

It comes with a single main 13MP rear camera, while the front has an 8MP selfie shooter.

In terms of battery, it packs a 12,050mAh battery with support for 66W wired fast charging.

Other key specifications include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, USB Type-C Gen 3.2, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, eight speakers, Vivo Pencil 2 support (sold separately), dimensions of 289.56 × 198.32 × 5.96 / 6.07 mm, and a weight of 578g / 635g.

Pricing and Availability

Unlike the Pad 5 Pro, which was launched in four colour options, the Vivo Pad 5 Pro Soft Light Edition is available in a single Racing Grey colour option.

In China, the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant is priced at CNY 3,699 (limited-time discounted price of CNY 3,599), while the 16GB RAM + 512GB storage model costs CNY 4,199 (discounted to CNY 4,099).

Official sales have begun today, with the promotional period running from December 15, 2025, to January 18, 2026. Those interested can also opt for accessories, including the official vivo Pad 5 Pro smart keyboard, priced at CNY 199, available during the same promotional window.

Students are eligible to purchase a tablet protective case for CNY 99, valid from December 15 to December 30, 2025.
