Samsung officially unveils Galaxy A27 5G smartphone; Will be available in select markets starting 3 July
The Galaxy A27 5G has been appearing on various certification websites lately, and the device was also recently listed on the Samsung Czech Republic website, suggesting its imminent launch.
Yesterday, the South Korean tech giant Samsung officially introduced its Galaxy A27 5G smartphone.
Galaxy A27 5G: Specs
The device features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-O display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It comes with a slim 7.8mm body. The smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. It runs on One UI 8.5 based on Android 16.
The Galaxy A27 5G is backed by a 5000 mAh battery and supports 25W fast charging. It sports a 50MP ultra-wide camera. 50MP OIS wide camera and 2MP macro camera on the rear side, while on the front it features a 12MP selfie camera. The company has claimed to provide 6 generations of Android OS and One UI upgrades, as well as up to 6 years of security updates. For security, it comes with Samsung Knox Vault, while the device boasts IP64 water and dust resistance.
The company has also introduced upgrades to the existing suite of AI features:
- Circle to Search with Google now supports multi-object recognition and outfits to be virtually tried on directly from search results.
- Object Eraser delivers more precise results, making it easier to remove unwanted distractions with more natural-looking edits.
- Voice Transcription in the voice recorder app can now translate as it transcribes with support for 22 languages.
- Google Gemini and Perplexity voice assistants supported
- Bixby is supported as a conversational device agent
Galaxy A27 5G: Availability
The Galaxy A27 5G will be available starting 3rd July in select markets in Black, Blue, Light Green and Light Pink colours. In the US, it arrives at a starting price of $349.99.
