Realme 16 Pro 5G Series India Launch Officially Confirmed for January 6th, 2026
The Realme 16 Pro 5G series has now officially received a launch date for the Indian market. The lineup will debut on 6th January 2026 and will include the Realme 16 Pro 5G and Realme 16 Pro+ 5G models.
In a recent teaser, Realme suggested that the Realme 16 Pro+(RMX5131) would be powered by a Snapdragon chipset more powerful than the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC. However, a recent Geekbench listing indicates that the device may actually use the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 itself. As a result, the exact chipset for the Pro+ variant remains unconfirmed for now. Meanwhile, the Realme 16 Pro 5G (RMX5120) has been spotted on Geekbench with the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC.
According to the official microsite, the Realme 16 Pro 5G series will be available in four colour options: Master Gold, Master Grey, and two India-exclusive finishes—Camellia Pink, inspired by Indian festive flowers and special moments, and Orchid Purple, inspired by Indian celebrations. The Master Gold and Master Grey variants feature a vegan leather rear finish, while the India-exclusive colours come with a matte finish.
The series will feature a 200MP Portrait Master system, headlined by the 200MP LumaColor Camera. As highlighted on the microsite, the camera places a strong focus on portrait photography, delivering consistent detail from 1x to 10x zoom. The new LumaColor algorithm enhances colour accuracy, particularly in low-light conditions, and supports intelligent colour-brightness matching alongside 16-bit RAW processing. The camera system is also backed by TÜV Rheinland certification.
Additionally, Realme has confirmed AI Edit Genie 2.0, which introduces voice-based editing capabilities and new AI filters. The Realme 16 Pro 5G series will run Realme UI 7, based on Android 16, out of the box. Realme has also committed to three years of OS updates and four years of security patches for the series.
Regarding availability, the Realme 16 Pro 5G series will be sold via Flipkart, the Realme India website, and other authorised retailers.
