Oppo A6c with 6.75″ flat LCD HD+ display, Snapdragon 685 SoC, 6,500mAh battery launched in China

Oppo recently started teasing the launch of the Oppo A6c smartphone for its home market, China. While the teaser did reveal some details about this smartphone, it did not confirm whether it was a 4G or a 5G smartphone. Well, now it is confirmed that this is a 4G smartphone, and, looking at the specifications, it appears to be more like the Oppo A6x 4G variant, which was launched in the global markets.

It features a 6.75″ flat LCD HD+ display with an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz, with intelligent switching between 60Hz, 90Hz, and 120Hz, and with up to 800 nits typical brightness and a peak brightness of 1125 nits. Touch sampling can reach up to 240Hz, while colour output supports 16.7 million colours with 100% sRGB in Natural mode and 85% DCI-P3 in Vivid mode. Pixel density stands at 256 PPI.

Under the hood, it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 Mobile Platform, paired with the Adreno 610 GPU. It uses LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage, and also supports expandable storage via a memory card. The device runs ColorOS 15, which brings features such as long-term system fluency optimisation, AI image tools like object removal and clarity enhancement, and additional AI-based utilities including education assistance and family safety features.

The Oppo A6c carries a 13MP rear camera with an f/2.2 aperture and autofocus, supporting up to 10x digital zoom. The front camera is a 5MP shooter with an f/2.2 aperture. AI tools for photo editing, including one-tap object removal and quick cutout, are also included through the system.

The device packs a 6500mAh typical battery (6335mAh rated) and uses a USB Type-C port for charging, although fast charging is not supported. It also supports OTG reverse charging, allowing the phone to power accessories like earphones, small lights, or other phones. Oppo additionally claims long-term performance stability through system-level optimisation, tested for up to 48 months of smooth usage.

It supports dual Nano-SIM cards with 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth with SBC, AAC, and aptX codecs, and USB 2.0 data transfer. It includes a 3.5mm headphone jack but does not support NFC. Biometric options include a side-mounted capacitive fingerprint sensor and facial recognition. The phone also supports multiple navigation systems, including GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, Galileo, and QZSS.

The phone measures 166.61mm in height, 78.51mm in width, and 8.61mm in thickness, with a weight of around 210 grams. It comes with IP64-rated protection, meaning it is resistant to dust and light water splashes.

It has been launched in a single memory option of 6GB + 128GB, and is priced at CNY 799. It is available in two colour options of Orchid Purple and Olive Green, and can be purchased via the Oppo China online store.
