Motorola officially teases Moto X70 Air Pro launch in China; 3C listing confirms 90W fast charging
Earlier this morning, we spotted the model number “XT2601-3” on the 3C certification database. Based on Motorola’s usual naming strategy, where X series smartphones debut in China and later launch globally under the Edge branding, we initially assumed this device would be the X70 Ultra in China and the Edge 70 Ultra globally.
However, it now appears that Motorola is continuing its Air branding strategy. Following the launch of the X70 Air, the company has confirmed that the next X series smartphone for the Chinese market will be called the X70 Air Pro. This device is expected to make its global debut as the Motorola Edge 70 Ultra.

The teaser tagline, “More than Air. Smarter with AI. Truly Pro.” (Translated from Chinese to English), suggests a strong focus on AI-driven features, along with a slim and lightweight design. That said, the teaser does not reveal any specifications or technical details. Motorola has also not confirmed a launch timeline, but the device is likely to debut either next month, potentially in January 2026.
As for the specifications, early leaks present mixed information. Chinese tipster “Panda is Bald” previously claimed that the device would be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC. However, a recent Geekbench listing suggests otherwise, indicating the presence of a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 5 chipset paired with an Adreno 829 GPU. The listing also confirms 16GB of RAM and Android 16 out of the box.
