Huawei confirms global launch of WATCH GT Runner 2, Band 11 Series, Mate 80 Pro, FreeBuds Pro 5 and more on February 26th

Huawei has confirmed a new round of global product launches for February 26th, 2026, with the event taking place in Madrid. In a post on X, the huawei teased the launch with the line: “The race begins here. Madrid, February 26, 2026.” #HuaweiLaunch #NowIsYourRun,” with a poster reading “Huawei Innovative Product Launch, Madrid, 26.02.2026”. While the teaser itself does not reveal much, Huawei’s press release details the whole product lineup for the global market on that day.

One of the highlights of this launch is going to be the Huawei WATCH GT Runner 2, the successor of the WATCH GT Runner, which launched in 2021. After a four-year break, Huawei is bringing back the Runner series, with a bigger emphasis on running. According to the press release, the smartwatch is developed in partnership with marathon legend Eliud Kipchoge and his elite running crew. Huawei also touts enhanced positioning accuracy and a slew of advanced running functions, establishing the watch as a performance-driven gadget for runners.

Huawei has also confirmed the global availability of the Huawei Mate 80 Pro, which was first launched in China in November of last year. It is joined by the Huawei FreeBuds Pro 5, Huawei Watch Ultimate 2, Huawei Band 11 Series, and Huawei MatePad Mini.

Among these, the Huawei Band 11 Series is the only product that has not yet debuted in any market. As per the press release, it will feature a trendy, youthful design and will be available in multiple vibrant colour options, suggesting it is aimed at a younger audience.
