Argentine captain and former Barcelona player Lionel Messi has made an honest confession regarding his fitness ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2022. The mega event is just a couple of months away, the players are set to take the stage on November 20.

The 2022 edition might be the last appearances for the PSG star in the greatest sporting event. Moreover, fans will be hoping that the legend remains injury free and away from any sorts of hazards.

Although, before flying off to Qatar, Messi has a number of games scheduled in front of him, with the European football in progress.

“I think it’s complicated. There are many games and little rest time, but you have to face it as always. If you are going to play thinking about the World Cup, taking care of yourself or not messing up, in the end, it can turn out worse.

“I believe things happen because they happen, and if things have to happen, they will happen. God willing nothing happens to anyone and we can all arrive as we are now.”

Leo scored twice in the match against Honduras on September 24, the South American nation won 3-0. Furthermore, Argentina are currently on 34 game win streak, they lock horns with Jamaica on September 27.

As far as his performance with PSG is concerned, the latter has netted six goals in 11 games and has provided eight assists.
