India vs South Africa; 3rd T20I

It’s the final showdown for India and South Africa in the three match T20I series, India wins another one and it’s the first time they have defeated the Proteas on home soil. We are in the city of Indore and the South African side have posted a total of 227/3 in their 20 overs.

Winning the toss didn’t go in favour of the Indian side, it was a poor display of bowling from the bowlers of India, and it was a sheer South African dominated performance in the first innings.

Rilee Rossouw struck his maiden T20I ton as he guided South Africa to a mammoth total. Rossouw and Quinton de Kock, who also smashed a cracking half-century, handled the Proteas innings after they had lost captain Temba Bavuma early. Umesh Yadav and Deepak Chahar scalped a wicket each for India.

Here is the playing 11 of the two teams:

Team India:

Rohit Sharma(c), Rishabh Pant(w), Shreyas Iyer, Dinesh Karthik, Suryakumar Yadav, Axar Patel, Ravichandran Ashwin, Harshal Patel, Deepak Chahar, Umesh Yadav, Mohammed Siraj

Team South Africa:

Temba Bavuma(c), Quinton de Kock(w), Rilee Rossouw, Aiden Markram, David Miller, Tristan Stubbs, Wayne Parnell, Dwaine Pretorius, Keshav Maharaj, Kagiso Rabada, Lungi Ngidi

At the moment, India are 109/6 in 11.1 overs with Axar Patel and Ravichandran Ashwin on the crease, a tough ride seems to be waiting for India, with no chances of winning.
