Gujarat Titans, led by Hardik Pandya, win IPL 2022 for the very first time, defeating Rajasthan Royals

Gujarat Titans, headed by Hardik Pandya, won the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 final by 7 wickets, defeating Sanju Samson’s Rajasthan Royals for the first time. On May 29, the event was conducted at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium. RR batted first and scored 130 runs in 20 overs, while Gujarat Titans scored 133 runs in 18.1 overs, losing only three wickets. Captain Pandya of the Gujarat Titans captured three wickets from the RR team while also scoring 34 runs in 30 balls. Shubman Gill hit an undefeated 45 off 43 balls, while David Miller added in with 32 off 19 balls.

In the title match, Rajasthan Royals (RR) captain Sanju Samson won the toss and chose to bat first against Gujarat Titans. Gujarat Titans qualified for the finals after defeating Rajasthan Royals (RR) by seven wickets in Qualifier 1. RR, on the other hand, defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by seven wickets to reach their second IPL final since 2008. Hardik Pandya leads the Gujarat Titans.

Yashasvi Jaiswal, Jos Buttler, Sanju Samson, Devdutt Padikkal, Shimron Hetmyer, Riyan Parag, Ravichandran Ashwin, Trent Boult, Prasidh Krishna, Obed McCoy, and Yuzvendra Chahal were some of the Rajasthan Royals’ undefeated team.

Wriddhiman Saha, Shubman Gill, Matthew Wade, Hardik Pandya, David Miller, Rahul Tewatia, Rashid Khan, Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore, Lockie Ferguson, Yash Dayal, and Mohammed Shami were among the Gujarat Titans’ players.

Additionally, Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh, as well as singers AR Rahman and Neeti Mohan, performed at the closing ceremony to make it memorable. Ranveer Singh performed to Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘Vaathi Coming,’ RRR’s ‘Nattu Nattu,’ and KGF actor Yash’s iconic speech. He also danced to Deepika Padukone’s ‘Ghoomar,’ as well as other great songs from his movies.
