President and Vice President of the United States, Former President, Space X among others congratulate NASA on Perseverance rover’s Landing

An hour after NASA’s Perseverance rover successfully accomplished an epic landing on mars accomplishing the riskiest step yet in an epic quest to bring back rocks that could answer whether life ever existed on Mars. The agency’s acting chief Steve Jurczyk got a surprise phone call from the president of the United States.

Jurczyk was at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California when he got the call from Biden. The rover’s successful landing at the Jezero Crater was announced at 3:55 p.m. EST (2055 GMT)

Joining President, Vice President Kamala Harris also sent her congratulations to NASA and the Perseverance rover team.
