Popular online multiplayer game, “Among Us” to be made into an animated series

Among Us, the online multiplayer game, which gained worldwide popularity during the Covid-19 pandemic is now on its way to be an animated series. Work for the same is being carried out at the CBS studios according to reports.

According to reports by Variety, CBS Eye Animation Productions partnered with Innersloth to develop the series. Innersloth is the independent game studio behind “Among Us”.

Owen Dennis will work under a deal with CBS Studios, as the creator and executive producer for the project.

The logline of the series states that “Members of your crew have been replaced by an alien shapeshifter intent on causing confusion, sabotaging the ship, and killing everyone. Root out the ‘Impostor’ or fall victim to its murderous designs.”

Titmouse, the Animation studio behind “Big Mouth”, “And Star Trek: Lower Decks” has been chosen as the animation studio for the series.

Some other executive producers for the series other than Dennis are Forest Willard, Marcus Bromander, Carl Neisser of Innersloth, Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio, and Ben Kalina of Titmouse.

It hasn’t come to light yet if any streaming platform or network would be associated with the series. However, discussions for the same are in process.

CBS Animation Studios will produce the series in association with Innersloth. The Animation Guild covers the show instead of WGA.
