Another major design highlight already confirmed for the Indian variant is the Alive Matrix Display at the rear, which is placed alongside the camera module. The brand has also teased a flat metal frame and a contrasting orange-finished button on the side.

Apart from this, a dedicated microsite for the device does not appear to be live on Amazon India or Flipkart at the time of writing, so its complete India-specific specifications and pricing are still under wraps.

Speaking of its specifications, we can expect the Indian variant to share several features with the global POVA 8 Pro. The global model comes with a 6.78″ HyperLux AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate chipset, 50MP OIS main camera, 8MP ultra-wide camera, 13MP selfie camera and a 6,500mAh battery with 45W charging support.

Now that the August 18th launch date has been confirmed, we expect POVA to gradually reveal more specifications and features of the upcoming POVA 8 Pro in the coming days.

Stay tuned for more updates!

Xiaomi’s home appliances sub-brand Mijia has already been confirmed to enter the Indian market, and just last night, the brand teased that it will soon be bringing its first Mijia-branded product to the country. Well, a new teaser shared by Xiaomi India now hints that the first product to launch under the Mijia brand in India could be an air purifier.

Read more about it below.

Mijia Could Launch an Air Purifier as Its First Product in India

Although the exact name of the upcoming product has not yet been revealed, the latest teaser strongly hints towards it being an air purifier.

In the teaser shared by Xiaomi India, the brand mentions, “Stay tuned for a breath of fresh air.” Furthermore, the teaser video highlights the text “Your Room Deserves This”, with mountains shown in the background, again pointing towards fresh and clean air.

We're taking smart living to a whole new level of purity.

Towards the end of the teaser, the same “Stay tuned for a breath of fresh air” message appears once again, thereby strongly hinting that the upcoming Mijia product could indeed be an air purifier.

Apart from this, the Mijia microsite is now live on Xiaomi India’s website as well. However, apart from the Mijia branding and a message regarding a new product coming soon, not much has been revealed about the upcoming launch yet.

Now that Xiaomi has started teasing the first Mijia product for India, we can expect the brand to gradually reveal more details in the coming days, including its exact product name, specifications, launch date, pricing and the platforms through which it will be available.

Coming to the cameras, the smartphone features a 50MP primary camera using the Sony LYTIA 600 sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, PDAF and Quad Pixel technology. It is accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide camera offering a 119.5-degree field of view. At the front, users get a 32MP selfie camera with Quad Pixel technology.

The front camera supports up to 2K video recording at 30fps, while several camera features such as Night Vision, Portrait, Panorama, Pro Mode, Ultra-Res, Portrait HDR, Google Lens integration and up to 8x digital zoom are also offered. Users will also get Google Photos editing features including Magic Eraser, Photo Unblur, Reimagine, Auto Frame, Portrait Blur and more.

Another major highlight of the Indian Moto G Max 5G is its battery, as the smartphone packs a massive 7,000mAh battery with support for 30W TurboPower charging. Motorola claims that the device can offer up to 63 hours of battery life on a single charge.

For durability, the smartphone comes with an IP64 rating and MIL-STD-810H durability certification. It measures approximately 166.23 × 76.50 × 8.60mm, weighs around 213 grams and features a satin-inspired rear finish along with a plastic frame.

Speaking of the audio experience, the Moto G Max 5G comes with stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio support. A 3.5mm headphone jack, dual microphones and FM Radio are also present.

Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, dual physical SIM support, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, BeiDou and USB Type-C. However, NFC is not supported on the Indian variant.

Quite Different From the Global Moto G Max

As mentioned above, the Moto G Max launched in India is quite different from the model already available in markets such as Brazil.

The Brazilian Moto G Max comes with a larger 6.8-inch 1.5K Extreme AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 5,000 nits of brightness. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset, paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.

It also gets a 200MP primary camera with OIS instead of the 50MP main camera offered on the Indian model. The global model packs a smaller 5,200mAh battery with 33W TurboPower charging, while it also gets NFC and comparatively higher IP66, IP68 and IP69 ratings.

So while both smartphones carry the same Moto G Max moniker, their core hardware is considerably different depending on the market.

Pricing and Availability

Speaking of its pricing, the Moto G Max 5G has been launched in India in a single 6GB/128GB memory variant priced at INR 27,999.

The smartphone will go on sale in India starting August 20th 2026 at 12 PM via Flipkart, the Motorola India website and authorised retail stores across the country. It will be offered in three colour options – PANTONE Alaskan Blue, PANTONE Malaga and PANTONE Stargazer.

Yesterday, Google announced the release of its Gemini-powered Sheet Canvas feature in Google Sheets that transforms your rows and columns into interactive dashboards, custom study trackers, seating charts and more.

Sheet Canvas feature in Google Sheets

Sheet Canvas is a dynamic, ready-write layer that sits directly on top of your spreadsheet data. This means that you can visually organise, edit and navigate your data in whatever layout you imagine.

Sheet Canvas feature benefits-

No coding required: No formulas or programming required. Just describe what you want, and Gemini builds it for you.

Always in sync: Whether you make changes to your canvas or to your sheet, updates are synced between the canvas and the original sheet in real time.

Easy to adjust: You can continue to polish and refine your Sheets canvas by prompting Gemini to make edits to layout, design, functionality and more.

Fully collaborative: Your canvas can be shared with anyone, just like a regular sheet.

Examples where the Sheet Canvas feature can be used:

Students can turn a long list of assignments into an interactive study aid. Track progress, set reminders and visualise the week ahead so you never miss a deadline.

Athletes can create a custom dashboard to track player performance, compare stats side by side, and clearly visualise their path to the championship.

For wedding planning, Sheets Canvas transforms your guest RSVP data into an interactive seating chart.

Availability

Sheet Canvas is now generally available in English to Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers. It’s rolling out to Google Workspace customers on Business or Enterprise Standard and Plus plans, and to Google AI Pro for Education add-on subscribers.

To get started, open a Google Sheets spreadsheet and select the “Create Canvas” option in the Ask Gemini side panel.

What if you could check whether your account or post is being negatively impacted on X by the platform’s ranking system? Well, X is now setting a new standard for transparency by open-sourcing the For You timeline.

Open-Sourcing the For You timeline

X is open-sourcing the code that affects a post’s visibility in the For You timeline and releasing a new tool that shows people labels applied to their account or posts that might limit visibility.

How does it work?

X is releasing the code that determines how posts are ranked and filtered in the For You timeline, including the content labels that can impact post visibility. This builds on X’s previous open-source work, adding model configuration, filter and core ranking system details.

The code is paired with post-level and account-level label transparency. This will allow people to see whether their posts or account have visibility-limiting labels.

People will be able to check for themselves via a new “Under the Hood” page- if they’ve posted 10+ times in the prior month, they will be able to see the labels applied to their account and posts in that month, and download the data.

The company has designed the system to facilitate ongoing updates as the algorithm evolves.

The “Under the Hood” page is rolling out as a pilot, and the company plans to shape and expand its availability based on feedback from the public. Initially, it will be available to a randomised test group of eligible accounts that are at least one year old.

X has also invited third-party recommender system experts to preview and pressure-test this code release in advance so it’s as clear and useful as possible to the public.

However, it is said that a few systems are not included in this release, like those that use Grok to predict whether a post could be violating a rule. This is meant to protect X from bad actors who could use this information to work around the company’s rules to flood the network with spam.

The company is making the source code available on GitHub.

Thanks to tipster Digital Chat Station, we now have an early AnTuTu benchmark score of Qualcomm’s upcoming flagship chipset, which is believed to be the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro. And looking at the score, the upcoming chipset has managed to cross the 4.8 million mark on AnTuTu V11.

Read more about it below.

Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro Early AnTuTu Score Revealed

According to the screenshot shared by tipster Digital Chat Station, the upcoming Qualcomm chipset carrying the model number SM8975 has appeared on AnTuTu V11.1.4 and managed to achieve an overall score of 4,835,412 points.

While the benchmark itself mentions the chipset as QTI SM8975, previous leaks have associated this model number with the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro. Qualcomm itself is yet to officially announce the chipset or confirm its final marketing name.

Coming to the CPU performance, the chipset managed to achieve a score of 1,368,930 points. This includes 320,633 points in CPU arithmetic operations, 318,984 points in common algorithms, 639,306 points in multi-core performance, and 90,007 points in CPU AI performance.

SD 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro – AnTuTu Early Scores

Moving on to the GPU, the listing reveals the Adreno 850 GPU, which managed to score a massive 1,854,826 points. The GPU scored 156,718 points in the Seasons: Light & Shadow Vulkan test, while the Seasons: Cabin Vulkan test returned a score of 849,992 points.

Notably, the Adreno 850 GPU has already been associated with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro through previous leaks. Digital Chat Station had earlier tipped that the SM8975 chipset would feature the Adreno 850 GPU along with 18MB GMEM, while the standard Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 is expected to feature a slightly toned-down Adreno 845 GPU.

With an overall score of 4,835,412 points, this early benchmark certainly gives us an idea of what Qualcomm’s upcoming flagship chipset could be capable of. However, since the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro is yet to be officially announced and this appears to be an early benchmark result, the performance of final retail devices may differ.

More details regarding the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 series are expected to surface as we move closer to its official announcement.

Stay tuned for more updates!
