New voice capabilities across Google Workspace

Gmail Live

With Gmail Live, you can skip the manual search entirely. Use conversation search to find information, and Gmail Live will scan your inbox and give you answers quickly.

Docs Live

Instead of staring at a blank page, you can engage in real-time conversation with Docs Live to build structured, context-aware documents on the fly. Docs Live acts as your thought partner and co-writer to help you get to a first draft faster using your voice.

Just talk, and Docs Live handles the heavy lifting: organising your thoughts, structuring your document, and (with your permission) pulling relevant details directly from your Gmail, Drive, Chat, and the broader web.

Keep Live

Keep is usually used to note a quick idea or something that crosses your mind before you forget it. Now, you can talk to Keep Live to capture, structure, and refine your ideas into organised, actionable notes.

Keep’s new voice feature understands your stream of consciousness and processes it in the background, turning your thoughts into structured lists and notes without you having to type a single word.

Availability

These new conversational features are rolling out this week. They are available in Gmail and Keep for Google AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra subscribers, and in Docs for Pro and Ultra subscribers.

All of these features will be coming soon for Google Workspace business customers.

Some users have reportedly shared online that they are facing issues while using ChatGPT Work, irrespective of their subscription plan. This suggests that the ongoing issue is not limited to users on a particular subscription tier.

In a recent update, OpenAI’s status page shows that “ChatGPT Work seeing elevated errors and latency.” The company states that users across multiple subscription plans may be unable to start or continue tasks in ChatGPT Work and that it is continuing to work on a mitigation.

OpenAI has marked the incident as “Identified” and a partial outage. An earlier update specifically mentioned that Plus users were particularly impacted, with Work mode being unavailable for them.

Furthermore, the issue was first highlighted on Monday, August 31, 2026, at around 8:34 PM IST, when OpenAI said that users were experiencing elevated latency for the impacted services. This was followed by another update at around 8:51 PM IST, stating that users were experiencing elevated errors and that Plus users were particularly affected.

The latest update, posted at around 9:32 PM IST, reads:

Identified

“User across multiple subscription plans may be unable to start or continue tasks in ChatGPT Work. We are continuing to work on a mitigation.

Meanwhile, users have also reported issues online. One Reddit user said (post now removed) that ChatGPT Work would remain stuck on “Working” before eventually showing a network error, while regular ChatGPT continued to work normally. At around 9:55 PM, Downdetector also recorded around 1283 reports related to ChatGPT around the same period.

However, OpenAI’s official status page currently identifies ChatGPT Work as the affected service, so the incident should not be described as a platform-wide ChatGPT outage at this point.

Brave has introduced a new Email Aliases feature with version 1.94 of its desktop browser, which is aimed at reducing spam and protecting users from cross-site tracking based on email-address matching.

Read more about this latest update below.

Brave Email Aliases – Details

Those who are on Brave’s desktop version 1.94 can now generate unique email aliases while signing up for different websites and online services. Messages received through these aliases will be forwarded to the user’s primary email inbox.

By using a different alias for every website, users can prevent their primary email address from being used as a common identifier for tracking their activities across the web. Moreover, if a particular alias starts receiving spam, it can be deactivated and replaced with a new one.

Brave points out that the Email Aliases feature extends its privacy protection beyond browser-level tracking prevention, as it also limits server-side matching based on users’ email addresses.

As part of the initial release, users will receive five email aliases for free. The company is also planning to introduce the feature on mobile devices, while a paid Premium version will be offered in the future.

Separate Brave Account Required

To use Email Aliases, users will have to create a separate Brave Account whcih should be different from the Brave Premium account used for managing services such as Brave VPN.

Similar to all account signups, users will be required to enter and verify their primary email address and create a password. Brave Accounts uses the standardised OPAQUE cryptographic protocol, and the account password is never sent to Brave’s servers.

Users can create an account by following the steps mentioned below:

Open brave://settings/email-aliases.

Select Log in or create a Brave account.

Enter an email address and a strong password.

Complete the email verification process.

After signing in, users can click on an email field while visiting a website to generate a new alias. If the automatic New Email Alias prompt does not appear, users can right-click on the email field and manually select the option.

The generated aliases can be managed by navigating to Settings > Autofill & Passwords > Email Aliases. Users can also access the management page directly through brave://settings/email-aliases.

Brave Email Aliases

Privacy and Data Protection

Brave adds that it securely stores the primary account email address and generats aliases, with the data being encrypted at rest.

Emails passing through the service are processed only for standard spam and virus filtering and are deleted from Brave’s servers within seconds once they are delivered to the user’s primary inbox.

Notes added to individual aliases are stored locally on the user’s device and if Brave Sync is enabled, these notes are end-to-end encrypted between devices connected to the same Sync chain, meaning that Brave cannot read the synced alias notes.

During the initial rollout, some forwarded emails may incorrectly appear in the spam folder and therefore Brave recommends to Users to mark such messages as Not spam, which should help improve future email delivery.

Stay tuned for more updates.

Samsung introduced its Privacy Display feature with the Galaxy S26 Ultra, which allowed users to prevent others from viewing the screen from the sides. Well, according to the latest information shared by tipster Kacper Skrzypek, Xiaomi is also testing a similar feature called Smart Privacy Display.

Here is what has been revealed.

Xiaomi Smart Privacy Display – Details

As per the details shared by the tipster, Xiaomi’s Smart Privacy Display feature narrows the visible viewing angle of the screen at the hardware level, making the on-screen content difficult for others to view from the sides.

The feature is also said to continuously detect whether another person is looking at the screen and alert the user. However, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra privacy display does not continuously detect people around you; instead, it operates based on manual toggles or app-specific triggers rather than active environment surveillance.

That's how "Smart privacy display" options will look on supported #Xiaomi device (likely upcoming flagship).

Video recorded on Global ROM. "Page privacy display" and Xiaomi Hyper XiaoAi groups are, at least for now, available only on China ROM. pic.twitter.com/AigocVrasZ

— Kacper Skrzypek 🇵🇱 (@kacskrz) August 28, 2026

Additionally, the screen grab shared by him also shows that the Page Privacy Display feature gets automatically triggered if turned on whenever the user opens a sensitive page, such as a password-entry screen, payment page, money-transfer page, or messaging page. On the other hand, Notification Privacy Display provides partial privacy protection for notifications received from selected applications.

Users will reportedly be able to create, manage, remove, and rename privacy-display app categories. Moreover, Xiaomi Hyper XiaoAI can create personalised application groups and configure smart activation rules. However, creating personalised app groups will require the Xiaomi Hyper XiaoAI Pro mode. This would mean that it might be limited to the China region as of now.

The tipster also tried enabling the feature on his device, but it did not work, which, according to him, is because the menu was enabled on HyperOS3 while the application came from HyperOS4, the required code was missing, or the display lacked the necessary hardware-level support.

As of now, the exact Xiaomi smartphone that will support this feature remains unknown. When asked whether it could arrive on the vanilla Xiaomi 18, the tipster declined to speculate, though he personally expressed doubt about the possibility.

Stay tuned for more updates.

Do note that if you linked your AIP or AAP account to your YouTube channel before September 2024, you will need to re-link your account.

After your accounts are linked and your channel gains access, you can use the product picker tool in YouTube Studio to tag Amazon products in your content by tagging available products and auto-tagging content for your recent uploads.

When you tag Amazon products, you will see performance metrics in YouTube Studio Analytics, such as clicks and estimated revenue. Your finalised Amazon earnings are paid through your AdSense account with your existing YouTube Affiliate program payments.

Yesterday, Instagram introduced a new way for creators to create a reel within the app called First Draft.

New First Draft feature on Instagram

First Draft gives creators a starting point for their Reels, so they can focus more on creativity and less on technical production. All you need to do is select your clips, and with one tap, the feature cuts the pauses and trims down your clips, so you have a starting point to build from in seconds.

But everything this feature does is reversible; you can reorder, remove, adjust or start over. First Draft is just introduced to handle the early video trimming so you can focus on technical production. The feature adapts to your footage and gets you past the starting point, whether it’s multi-clip montages, talking-head videos, or day-in-the-life content.

First Draft finds the pauses and silences in your talking videos and trims them, so what you said comes through without the gaps in between. You can select, edit and share without leaving the Instagram app.

How to access the First Draft feature?

There are two ways:

Open Reels gallery- Select 1+ clips- Tap the “First Draft” button at the bottom of your screen- Review edit- Proceed to full edit or publish.

Open in Instagram- Film your content- Tap the “First Draft” button- Review edit- Proceed to the full editor to publish.

The feature is initially available for iOS users only.

WhatsApp has announced several new account-security features, including stronger two-step verification and more, which we will discuss in this article below.

WhatsApp – New Account Security Features

According to an official announcement shared by Meta, WhatsApp is upgrading its two-step verification feature to provide stronger protection against account takeover attempts.

Until now, WhatsApp’s two-step verification relied on a six-digit PIN and with the new update, it has now been upgraded to a full password that can be longer and include letters, numbers and special characters, making it more difficult to guess.

Speaking more, WhatsApp has revealed that more than one billion people have already set up passkeys, which allow users to log back into WhatsApp using their fingerprint, Face ID or device screen-lock code without relying on verification codes or PINs.

WhatsApp is also adding support for multiple passkeys to a single account, and this will be particularly useful for people who access their WhatsApp account using both Android and iOS devices.

To set up and manage the WhatsApp passkeys, you will need to go to Settings > Account > Passkeys within the application.

If you receive an unknown call on WhatsApp, the incoming-call screen will now show information such as whether the phone number belongs to a different country and whether the caller shares any WhatsApp groups with the user. However, this is currently limited to Android users only.

Stay tuned for more updates!
