Xbox has improved the attachment design so the toppers better endure higher force use and stay securely in place during gameplay. The company is also expanding the lineup with a new, highly requested option: the Goal Post Shape, giving players even more ways to tailor their setup. Players can access both options through Xbox Design Lab.

To explore the updated program, head to Xbox Design Lab, choose the controller you’d like to design a topper for, and select from 7 available shapes, including the new Goal Post Shape. From there, you can customise the width and height that work best for you and download a 3D-printable file at no charge to print the topper for your compatible controllers.

The players do not need to buy a controller to download the file; they just need access to a 3D printer or printing service.

Apart from this, the company has also launched a refresh of the Accessible Gaming page on XBOX.com to make it easier for players to learn about the accessibility features and tools available across XBOX. The updated page is said to introduce clearer content, improved navigation, and a more approachable layout, helping players more quickly find what they need and understand how XBOX supports different ways to play.

Accessibility tags, such as the Accessible Games Initiative tags, are available now within XBOX storefronts and can help players filter and find experiences that match their preferences.

During the announcement itself, the company had also mentioned that the revised pricing would be implemented in India starting from the 20th of May, and the same has now been updated on the Indian PlayStation Plus subscription page as well.

Read more about it below.

PlayStation Plus India Price Hike

As seen above, all three subscription tiers have now received a notable price increase across monthly, quarterly, and yearly plans in India. Also, in the previous announcement itself, the company had added that “This price change does not apply to current subscribers (except in Turkey and India) unless the existing subscription changes or lapses.” This means users in India and Turkey will still be affected by the revised pricing, even if they currently have an active PlayStation Plus subscription.

Stay tuned for more updates!

Here’s more about it.

PlayStation 5 Now Supports More Than 4000 PlayStation 4 Games

Even though now the PlayStation 5 supports several PlayStation 4 games, there are still some games which will remain exclusive to the latter and a badge will be visible next to those games. Additionally, Afro Samurai 2 Revenge of Kuma Volume One, Just Deal With It!, Robinson: The Journey, We Sing, Hitman Go: Definitive Edition, and Shadwen are some of the PS4 games that are currently not compatible with the PlayStation 5 console, and the company states that this list may increase in the future.

How to Upgrade?

Coming to the upgrade process, eligible PS4 game discs can be upgraded to the digital PS5 version using a PlayStation 5 console with a disc drive.

Users need to sign in to their existing account on the PS5 console, insert the eligible PS4 game disc, and then head to the game hub for the PS4 game. From there, the upgrade offer can be selected and reviewed before downloading or purchasing the PS5 content. After the download is complete, the PS5 digital game can be played by inserting the PS4 game disc each time.

It should be noted that the PS4 game disc needs to belong to the same country or region as the PlayStation account being used in order for the upgrade to work properly.

For eligible digital PS4 games, users can simply sign in to their account on the PS5 console, search for the PS5 game version through the PlayStation Store, and then select the available upgrade option from the game hub. Once downloaded, the PS5 version can be played directly on the console.

The company has further clarified that PS4 games redeemed through PlayStation Plus benefits are not eligible for a PS5 upgrade unless otherwise indicated.

Apart from this, Sony has also shared instructions regarding switching between PS4 and PS5 game versions on the console, along with steps to access art books, soundtracks, and other extras included with supported game purchases.

PS5 Backwards Compatibility Limitations

There are a few backward compatibility limitations for PS4 games on the PlayStation 5 console, which have been shared online. As per which, PlayStation 3 discs are not supported by the PS5 Disc Version console, and those who had received PS4 digital games through the PS3 to PS4 digital upgrade program will not be able to access those games on PS5 if the PS3 disc is required.

Speaking more about the limitations, the SHARE menu cannot be displayed during PS4 gameplay on PS5 consoles. However, screenshots and gameplay clips can still be captured using the Create button on the DualSense wireless controller or the SHARE button on the DUALSHOCK4 controller. Sony also states that for some PS4 games, even if video recording is started at 3840 x 2160 resolution, it may still be recorded at 1920 x 1080 resolution.

Also, the HD Camera is not compatible with PS VR on PS5, and users will need the PS Camera for PS4, along with the PS Camera adaptor, in order to use PS VR support.

Tournaments feature for PS4 games, In-Game Live from PlayStation support, and the PS4 Second Screen app and game companion apps are not going to be supported by PS5 consoles.

Sony additionally mentions that HDR is automatically switched on for PS5 consoles by default; however, it can also be manually turned off through the console settings.

Lastly, to read more regarding compatibility support and other limitations, you can head over to Sony’s official blog.

During this initial testing phase, players were able to try out the first three Hunters – Rem, Sun, and Axle – within a three-day testing window. The first playtest had also offered early access to the Machine Incursion and Cauldron Descent game modes. Moving forward, the company has now officially announced the second Closed Playtest of the game as well.

Read more about this latest update below.

Horizon Hunters Gathering – Second Closed Playtest Officially Announced

As per the newly-shared details, the second Closed Playtest for Horizon Hunters Gathering is scheduled to take place between the 22nd of May 2026 and the 25th of May 2026. Similar to the previous playtest, this upcoming testing phase will also be made available on both PlayStation consoles and PC platforms via Steam. Registration for the playtest is currently live exclusively through the PlayStation Beta Program.

Speaking more about the newly-added content, this latest playtest will introduce several new additions and gameplay improvements. This includes two new playable characters named Ensa and Shadow. Ensa is described as an Oseram smuggler with a mercenary past, while Shadow is revealed to be a mysterious Carja covert operative who commands a fearsome Stalker machine.

Additionally, the second Closed Playtest will also feature a new playable narrative episode centered around defending Ashwater Valley, along with the newly-added Breakers’ Bounty region that expands the map beyond Devil’s Thirst and the central Gathering hub. Two new difficulty options for the Machine Incursion mode, namely “Hard” and “Merciless”, have also now been introduced. Apart from these, Training Modules and automated NPC teammates for solo players are also part of the newly-added features.

At the moment, Horizon Hunters Gathering still remains in its testing phase, and Guerrilla Games has also stated that the company prefers conducting early playtests with smaller groups of players in order to focus on the core gameplay experience and implement player feedback before opening the game to a larger audience.

The company mentions that this latest product has been developed after 15 years of pro player insights and controller design experience, and it also features a non-slip grip texture, while the vibration modules have been removed in order to reduce weight and minimize interference during gameplay.

Here’s more about it.

SCUF Omega – Features and Specifications

Speaking about the specifications, the new SCUF Omega performance controller offers a total of 28 inputs, including 11 additional customizable inputs consisting of 4 rear paddles, 2 side buttons, and 5 G-Keys. One can be done directly through the controller itself, while the other can be accessed via the SCUF Mobile App that is available on both iOS and Android platforms. Notably, the companion app also lets users create and manage multiple profiles, fine-tune trigger and thumbstick response curves, configure SOCD settings for fighting games, recalibrate thumbsticks, manage audio controls, monitor battery status, update firmware, and personalize the RGB lighting strip on PC as well.
