The GTA VI Standard Edition for PS5 is found listed on Flipkart. Interested consumers can pre-order the game at Rs 5,999.

In August, Rockstar Games shared GTA VI: An Extended Look on Netflix and YouTube. This 26-minute showcase revealed car chases and shoutouts, scripted cinematics with playable sequences, giving viewers environmental detail, vehicle handling and combat encounters. It also gave a clear picture of protagonists Jason and Lucia, navigating the criminal underworld of Leonida. Rockstar revealed that the entire preview was captured on PS5 hardware, which allowed the studio to show off lighting, traffic density and crowd behaviour running on console rather than a PC demo rig. It was also confirmed that the footage targets 30 frames per second on PS5.

New Console updates for XBOX Insiders

Customisable startup animation

Players can now choose which startup animation they see, with options spanning from XBOX One through the latest generation. This new setting can be found under Settings> System> Startup, where players can also still choose whether the animation plays with sound or not.

More options to showcase badges

XBOX Insiders now have more control over how their earned badges are showcased, with the ability to feature up to 5 badges in their profile card showcase and hide individual badges from their public profile.

Improved search for games and achievements

XBOX Insiders can use a new local search feature to quickly find specific games and achievements within large lists.

Available in My games & apps, official club achievement lists, and profile achievement history, local search works alongside existing filters and sorting options to help players find what they’re looking for faster.

Improved Remote Play Experience

With XBOX Remote Play, players can stream from their XBOX consoles to PCs, phones, TVs, and other devices. Now, XBOX Insiders in Alpha Skip-Ahead and Alpha on XBOX Series X|S can preview higher-quality XBOX Remote Play streaming, with support for up to 1440p resolution and increased video bitrates for sharper visuals and smoother gameplay on supported devices.

During the testing period, some devices may not yet offer separate streaming settings for XBOX Cloud Gaming and Remote Play. If your streaming quality is set to Auto, Remote Play will automatically select the highest resolution and bitrate your device and network connection can support, regardless of the resolution shown in the setting.

If you’re already using Remote Play, make sure your console’s Display resolution is set to 1440p or 4K UHD in Settings > General > TV & display options to take advantage of these improvements.

Continue Downloading while you Play on Cloud

Now downloads can continue in the background while players stream when network conditions allow, helping reduce wait times and keep gameplay uninterrupted. XBOX Series X|S players will see the biggest gains.

Players can find this setting under Settings > Cloud gaming > Streaming preferences and turn it off at any time.

Higher voice chat clarity

XBOX Insiders on Xbox Series X|S can test Voice Clarity, an enhanced audio experience that helps reduce everyday background noise, making it easier for players to stay connected and communicate clearly with friends and teammates.

Voice Clarity will be enabled by default in party chat and in most games released since 2020. Players can manage this setting at Settings > General > Volume & audio output > Additional options.

Xbox’s new feature brings the benefits of digital to physical discs

This new feature is part of Xbox’s broader commitment to game preservation. Players can claim a digital entitlement by inserting a supported disc into an Xbox One or Xbox Series X Console and launching the game.

Once the entitlement is claimed, you can experience the benefits of digital, including Xbox Play Anywhere and Xbox Cloud Gaming where supported, while your physical disc continues to work exactly as it always has.

The company is starting with thousands of titles and has said that it will continue to add more over time.

Availability

The feature will be first rolled out to Xbox Insiders. Insiders can begin testing it next week, on 31^st August. Most Xbox One and Xbox Series X disc-based games support this new feature.

Console Updates for XBOX Insiders

Home Improvements

Insiders can now remove any item in the Recent Games and Apps list at the top of Home using the Menu button, including the Play History tile. You can also try a new immersive background mode that lets your dynamic or custom background take centre stage.

Simply press the right thumbstick button on your controller from anywhere on Home to fade away the UI and enjoy your background without distractions. Press any button to return to Home and pick up where you left off.

More control over local game save storage

Insiders can now view, sort, and delete local game saves that aren’t currently in use; this will help in making space for the games currently being played.

To get started, go to Settings> System> Storage> Manage local game saves or access the feature directly if you receive a notification that there’s not enough space to create a new game save.

Your latest game saves remain safely backed up to the XBOX network and will automatically sync the next time you launch a game.

Dive into your Profile Badges

Now you can view detailed information for every profile badge displayed, including high-resolution artwork and details about how and when it was unlocked.

From longtime XBOX accomplishments to special community events, badges now include the context you need to help bring those moments to life and appreciate the players who earned them.

A new commemorative profile badge

On November 22, 2013, the XBOX One was released, ushering in a new generation of entertainment. Many insiders earned the elusive Day One achievement on that day.

To celebrate 25 years of XBOX, players who unlocked the Day One achievement will receive a new commemorative Day One profile badge, recognising that they were there when it all began.

More wishlist improvements

Purchased games will now automatically be removed from your wishlist, helping you spend less time managing your library and more time playing.

Operation Split Fire in Rainbow Six Siege

New Operator: Noor

Noor is designed to counter Shield Operators by disrupting Attacker momentum and forcing players to rethink shield-led pushes. With strong area and plant denial capabilities, he gives Defenders new opportunities to control key areas and challenge enemy advances. His unique ability – the Horus Lance Launcher – can fire 5 projectiles that pierce shields and destructible surfaces before erupting into flames. The projectiles work through floors and ceilings and from adjacent rooms. Use the launcher directly against shields, surfaces, or even other devices like Castle’s Armor Panels and Azami’s Kiba Barriers.

Noor’s Stats and Weapons

Noor is a two-speed, two-armor Defender. Choose between the Commando-9 Assault Rifle or the Alda 5.56 LMG as his primary weapon, and the 1911 TACOPS or Bailiff 410 make impactful secondary weapon options.

3v3 Arcade

From September 8 – 21, squad up with two of your friends and put your three-pronged attack strategies and triangular defensive tactics to the test. This mode is built around smaller, fast-paced matches, offering a fresh way to experience Siege while staying true to the game’s tactical DNA.

Wasteland and Circuit Event

Put your drone racing skills to the test in this limited-time event, running September 23 – October 12. Set in the Wasteland Circuit, this event will put your recon gadget skills to the test as you race your drone through custom-built tracks filled with obstacles, shortcuts, and high-speed challenges. The Wasteland Circuit Collection will offer new dieselpunk-themed cosmetic items to unlock as well.

Operator Price Decrease

Operators need to investigate high and low for clues to be ready to face everything. Ram receives a price decrease down to 10,000 Renown, or 240 R6 Credits and Skopos goes down to 15,000 Renown, or 360 R6 Credits. Finally, we have Denari going for 20,000 Renown or 480 R6 Credits.

Legends Division

Coming mid-season, this solo queue playlist was made just for Champion-level players. It features advanced security measures, unique rewards, and a fully visible leaderboard.

Beginner Friendly Fire

From now on, players below clearance level 10 will deal reduced damage to their teammates. This change aims to give new players more time to learn aspects of the game, such as enemy identification and weapon control.

Operations Overhaul

• New multi-level categorization and improved navigation
• Improved organization and discoverability, including accessibility options
• Some options now appear in multiple relevant categories, making them easier and faster to find based on how you naturally search for them
• Improved controls include: Dropdowns, compact components, and reduced scrolling

Graphic Settings

Adaptive Render Scaling is now enabled by default on PC across all graphics quality presets to improve frame rate stability and overall performance consistency. Other custom graphics settings remain unchanged.

Quality of Fire

Improved the visual feedback on actions that require holding a key or button. Enter rappel, drop diffuser, release hostage, climb hatches as Oryx, and pick up gadgets now have a circular gauge around the input reminder.

Surrender & Vote Box

The vote box interface was fully reworked. The vote to surrender option will no longer disappear before you can interact with it, allowing you to vote even if the round ends suddenly. Surrender rules were updated to match the new abandon timing. If a team is down in rounds or a teammate is disconnected for at least 6 minutes, the team can try to surrender.

Minimap in Quick Match

The mini-map is now also available in Quick Match. With this change, we aim to help newer players familiarise themselves with the map layout and navigation. More experienced players can hide the mini-map in the guidance settings.

The Clear House playlist now has five modernised maps: Casino, Emerald Plains, Stadium 2020, Stadium Bravo, and House.

Field Training

The Field Training playlist, which helps players to train and warm up in a low-stress environment, now has the Casino, Emerald Plains, Stadium 2020, Stadium Bravo, and House maps. We’ve also added Ram, Osa, Mozzie, and Brava as playable Operators.

Consumers who pre-order this game will get early access to the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Beta. You can experience the game before its official release and also provide feedback to help ensure the best Day One experience possible when the game launches in October.

Further, it is revealed that players on all platforms, including Nintendo Switch 2, will be able to jump into the Modern Warfare 4 Open Beta Weekend (MW4 Beta Weekend 2) from 28^th August- 1^st September. No pre-order is required to participate in the weekend. Weekend 2 of the beta will introduce Ground War: Combat Outpost and the new Zodiac Resurgence map in Call of Duty: Warzone.

Early access players can earn in-game rewards for playing the Beta, which will be immediately available for use in the Beta once unlocked and playable in Modern Warfare 4 once the full game launches.

For Xbox users, it is revealed that this upcoming game will not be available with Game Pass at launch.

PUBG Mobile LIGHT was officially announced by PUBG Mobile Producer Rick Li during the final day of the PUBG Mobile World Cup 2026. As mentioned above, this new version is aimed at players who want a comparatively lighter game that takes up less storage and puts less load on their smartphones.

Speaking of its availability, pre-registration for PUBG Mobile LIGHT will officially start on August 25th 2026. The game itself is scheduled to launch later this year, though an exact release date has not yet been announced. Details regarding the supported devices are also expected to be revealed closer to its launch.

PUBG Mobile LIGHT Download Size

One of the major highlights of PUBG Mobile LIGHT is going to be its smaller initial download size.

For Android devices, the initial download will be around 1GB, whereas on iOS devices it will be under 2GB. Another thing to note is that players will not have to download any mandatory additional package before playing their first match.

This basically means that once the initial download is completed, users can directly enter the game. Additional modules and content can then be downloaded separately depending on what the player actually wants to use.

PUBG Mobile LIGHT Gameplay and Features

Now, since this is a lighter version, you may think that the gameplay experience will also be heavily reduced, but that doesn’t appear to be the case.

According to the details revealed so far, PUBG Mobile LIGHT will retain the Classic Erangel map, supplies and core combat experience of the regular PUBG Mobile version. The idea here is to offer a lighter application while still keeping the familiar PUBG Mobile experience.

Existing PUBG Mobile users will also be able to use their current accounts on LIGHT, and previously owned items and outfits can carry over as well.

Another interesting thing is cross-version play. This means PUBG Mobile LIGHT users will be able to team up and play with their friends who are using the regular PUBG Mobile application. The developers also plan to keep LIGHT updated alongside the standard version so that new content remains available across both versions.

The standard PUBG Mobile application will still remain the main version for users who want access to the complete range of content, whereas LIGHT will mainly target those who want lower storage requirements and reduced device resource usage.

BGMI Lite Also Confirmed for India

And now coming to India, KRAFTON India has also officially confirmed BGMI Lite, with the brand announcing, “You Asked. We Listened. BGMI LITE Coming Soon.”

KRAFTON has further confirmed that BGMI Lite is planned to launch in India by the end of 2026, and the lighter version is aimed at making the BGMI experience accessible to a wider range of players in the country.

However, one important thing to keep in mind is that the August 25th pre-registration date currently applies to PUBG Mobile LIGHT and not BGMI Lite. KRAFTON India has not yet revealed the BGMI Lite pre-registration date, exact release date, download size, supported devices or other gameplay-related details.

So Indian users will have to wait for a separate announcement from KRAFTON regarding these details.

For now, what is confirmed is that PUBG Mobile LIGHT is coming globally with pre-registration starting August 25th, while BGMI Lite will also be making its way to India by the end of 2026.

PUBG 42.3 Patch Update

LMG Rebalance

To improve the overall usability of Light Machine Guns (LMG), the company has reduced reload times for all LMGs by approximately 20%, maximum horizontal recoil has been reduced by 30%, while the vertical recoil at the beginning of sustained fire has been softened, and the overall recoil pattern has been refined.

New RPD

The first Meta Rotation also introduces RPD, the new LMG to arrive in the game in nearly two years. The RPD excels in combat with its high per-shot damage using 7.62mm ammunition and controllable recoil. It comes with a 50-round magazine by default, expandable to 110 rounds, allowing for sustained suppressive fire.

Other Changes

Firing from vehicles

• Players can now fire only after fully leaning out of the vehicle window.
• The lean-out and lean-in animation timing has been adjusted, delaying when players can begin firing.
• Weapon spread now starts with a 10% penalty and gradually increases up to 20% at higher vehicle speeds.
• Recoil now starts with a 20% penalty and gradually increases up to 30% at higher vehicle speeds.
• On console, recoil while riding in vehicles remains unchanged and is still not applied.

Hybrid Scope

• The reticle size in low-magnification mode has been reduced.
• The volume of the magnification switching sound has been increased.

(PC) PUBG: Playgrounds

A new dedicated hub, PUBG: Playgrounds, has been added, allowing players to browse featured community-created modes and jump into them through matchmaking. Editor improvements include: Team Selection UI addition, end-of-match screen addition, new in-game Status board and the design of device icons in the Edit Manager has been improved.

A new offline mini-game, POBG, has been added for you to enjoy during server maintenance.

Blue Zone Placement Improvements

• The minimum and maximum values for the Blue Zone Spread setting in Custom Matches and the Spread Ratio setting on the UGC Blue Zone Device have been updated as follows:
  • Minimum: 0
  • Maximum: 1
• The spread setting has also been made more intuitive:
  • Values closer to 0 will generate Blue Zones closer to the center of the map.
  • Values closer to 1 will generate Blue Zones closer to the outer edges of the map.
• The areas where Blue Zone centers can be generated have also been refined across maps. Locations that are difficult to access or create unfair gameplay have been excluded, while certain low-impact areas have been added to improve overall Blue Zone placement.

Bots have been improved to behave more naturally in various situations.

UX/UI

A variety of improvements have been made to enhance the overall usability and convenience of the Settings menu. Various actions can be configured as Toggle or Hold: Inventory, Extended Minimap, Throwables Radial, Heal Items Radial, Message Radial, and Action Radial. Several key binding UI improvements are made in this update, like the addition of several new tabs; new interface, audio, spectate, replay, and observer tabs have been added; various new actions have been added under the Interface tab; and a “Clear Binding” key guide has been added to the bottom right corner of the Settings screen.

A new Settings Sharing feature has been added, a new Crosshair Customisation feature has been added, settings menu and UI have been updated. Meanwhile, key binding options for Equip Decoy Grenade and Equip Spike Trap have been removed.

For Event Centre, a new event type has been added; reward previews are now available by selecting reward icons in the Event Mission screen; reward icons in event missions now display a notification when rewards are available to claim; and events with all rewards claimed are now sorted to the bottom of the Event List.

Workshop

New items have been added to the Hunter’s Chest and Archivist’s Chest.

Survivor Pass

A new summer-themed Survivor Pass is prepared for this update.

• Fixed an issue where the lens effect was not properly applied in Special Zones when using the low magnification of the Hybrid Scope and the low and high magnifications of the P90 Scope.
• Added lens colour to the low magnification of the Hybrid Scope.
• Fixed an issue where the edges of the P90 Scope appeared black.
• Fixed an issue where the client crashed when rapidly entering terrain destroyed by the Red Zone while in a vehicle.
• Fixed an issue where the BRDM could not be equipped in custom lobbies.
• Fixed an issue where players could interact with a Blue Chip Tower while carrying a knocked-out player.
• Fixed an issue where PAN would occasionally die during the revive stage of Basic Training.

• Fixed collision, texture, performance, and some other general Sanhok issues.
• Fixed an issue where player locations were displayed incorrectly on the minimap in Replays and Death Cams on Vikendi and Miramar.
• Fixed an issue where parts of the minimap edges appeared cut off on Sanhok and Karakin.
• Fixed an issue where the starting positions of the plane and Blue Zone were incorrect on Sanhok and Karakin.

UX/UI

• Fixed an issue where the scroll position of the item list in Special Crafting was incorrectly retained under certain circumstances.
• Fixed an issue where the mute icon was displayed on the Voice Chat widget when muted.
• Fixed an issue where the mission list would occasionally not be displayed during Basic Training.
• Fixed an issue where the character was not displayed in the lobby after restarting the lobby while a skin was selected under Customize > Weapons > Consumables.
• Fixed an issue where the map function UI buttons were not displayed on the World Map in Training Mode, Clan Training, and Custom Match Training Mode.
• Fixed an issue where item names and images briefly appeared incorrectly when the item list was updated in the Vicinity tab of the Inventory.
• (PC) Fixed an issue where the music did not play when setting the lobby music to ‘Erangel – Subzero’.

• Fixed an issue where the hit range of certain melee weapon skins slightly differed.
• Fixed an issue where the ankle became transparent when wearing Handmade Hero Boots with certain pants.

The extended look will also launch on the official Rockstar Games YouTube channel and the Grand Theft Auto VI site at 9 PM ET on 27^th August.
