Notably, the revised pricing will come into effect starting next month across global markets.

Here is more to it.

Sony PS5, PS5 Pro, and PlayStation Portal Remote Player – Price Hike

As per the official blog post, citing “continued pressures in the global economic landscape”, Sony has decided to increase the prices of its PS5, PS5 Pro, and PlayStation Portal remote player globally. Looking at the current pricing listed on the PlayStation USA website, the revised pricing reflects an approximate $100 price hike for most models, while the PS5 Pro sees a slightly higher increase.

Further, the post mentions that the new pricing will be effective globally from the 2nd of April 2026. However, in the blog post, the company has only shared the updated pricing for the U.S., U.K., Europe, and Japan. For other regions, the company has stated to either check with the local retailers or direct.playstation.com, where it is available.

What is PSSR?

PSSR is an AI library that analyses. each frame pixel by pixel as it upscales game visuals. With this latest evolution, image reconstruction is more precise, motion stability is improved, and developers have greater flexibility to balance performance and fidelity on PS5 Pro.

Partners who integrated upgraded PSSR into their titles

Konami Digital Entertainment- SILENT HILL 2 and SILENT HILL f (smoother gameplay experience than before).

Electronic Arts- Dragon Age: The Veilguard (improvement in image quality while still maintaining stable framerates in Fidelity and Performance modes).

Remedy Entertainment- Alan Wake II and Control

Ninja Theory- Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II (enhanced visuals)

Square Enix- Final Fantasy VII Rebirth (image processing is more stable due to less flickering and afterimage feeling).

Koei Tecmo Games- Nioh 3 and Rise of the Ronin

Capcom- Monster Hunter Wilds and Dragon’s Dogma 2

The latest PS5 software update integrated with upgraded PSSR will be made available to all users over the coming days, while users can manually check for and install the update via the PS5 system settings.

Further, it is revealed that Crimson Desert is also adopting the new PSSR when it launches on March 19th. Meanwhile, Assassin’s Creed Shadows and Cyberpunk 2077 will also receive a patch in the coming weeks to support the new PSSR.

NVIDIA DLSS 5: Features

This AI-based graphics technology is claimed to be the company’s most significant breakthrough in computer graphics since the debut of real-time ray tracing in 2018. NVIDIA DLSS 5 introduces a real-time neural rendering model that infuses pixels with photoreal lighting and materials.

DLSS 5 empowers game developers to deliver a new level of photoreal computer graphics previously only achieved in Hollywood visual effects.

Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA, said, “DLSS 5 is the GPT moment for graphics- blending hand-crafted rendering with generative AI to deliver a dramatic leap in visual realism while preserving the control artists need for creative expression.”

DLSS 5 takes a game’s colour and motion vectors for each frame as input, and uses an AI model to infuse the scene with photoreal lighting and materials that are anchored to source 3D content and consistent from frame to frame. It runs in real time at up to 4K resolution for smooth, interactive gameplay.

The AI model is trained end-to-end to understand complex scene semantics such as characters, hair, fabric and translucent skin, along with environmental lighting conditions like front-lit, back-lit or overcast- all by analysing a single frame. DLSS 5 then uses its deep understanding to generate visually precise images that handle complex elements.

DLSS 5 provides game developers with detailed controls for intensity, colour grading and masking, so artists can determine where and how enhancements are applied to maintain each game’s unique aesthetic. It integrates via NVIDIA Streamline, alongside existing DLSS and NVIDIA Reflex technologies.

NVIDIA DLSS 5: Game Developer Support & Availability

DLSS 5 will be supported by the industry’s biggest publishers and game developers, including Bethesda, CAPCOM, Hotta Studio, NetEase, NCSOFT, S-GME, Tencent, Ubisoft and Warner Bros. Games.

Games that will support DLSS 5:

Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Black State

CINDER CITY

Ahead of its release, it is now available for pre-order in India via Amazon India, the PlayStation Online Store, and Flipkart.

Here is more to it.

Saros – Pre-Orders Started

On Flipkart and Amazon, the standard edition is available for pre-order in a physical disc format, with a price tag of ₹5,199. Meanwhile, its digital version is available for pre-order via the online PlayStation Store. Apart from the standard edition, there is also a Deluxe Edition, which is only available on the PlayStation online store.

Those who pre-order any edition of SAROS will receive the Hands of Shore Armour. Alternatively, players can choose the Digital Deluxe Edition, which offers 48-hour early access along with three Enforcer suits inspired by Returnal, Ghost of Yōtei, and God of War.

What is this game all about?

Based on the trailer released, the game provides a deeper look at the gameplay in Saros.

The gameplay of Saros is designed around fast-paced “bullet-hell” style combat, where players must rely on quick movement, precise evasion, and aggressive attacks to survive against waves of alien enemies. The game takes place on the mysterious planet Carcosa, a haunting world that constantly changes and creates an unpredictable environment for each encounter.

Another key element of the gameplay is its “Come Back Stronger” system. Unlike traditional roguelikes, where progress resets after each death, Saros allows certain upgrades—such as weapon and suit improvements—to carry over between runs. As a result, each attempt contributes to the player’s overall progression.

During combat, players can also use a special defensive ability known as the Soltari Shield. This shield not only blocks incoming projectiles but also absorbs their energy, which can later be redirected into powerful counterattacks against enemies.

Alongside the intense action, the game also places emphasis on narrative. It presents an emotional, character-driven story with cosmic horror themes, following the journey of the protagonist Arjun Devraj, who is voiced by Rahul Kohli (whose television credits include Midnight Mass, Twilight of the Gods and The Fall of the House of Usher).

Support

Available exclusively on PlayStation 5.

The game is enhanced for PS5 Pro.

Supports offline play, allowing players to play without an internet connection.

Compatible with PlayStation Remote Play.

Does not include local or online multiplayer, as the game is designed as a single-player experience.

Online connectivity may be used for leaderboards or similar shared features.

This is evident, as its model number has now appeared on the Indian BIS certification.

Here is more to it.

PS5 Pro – Indian BIS

On the BIS certification, first spotted by a user called @ArjuncampbellA on X, the brand name is listed as SONY, and the model number shown next to it is “CFI-7121.” It also confirms that the device was listed on the certification on March 9, 2026. Although the listing does not reveal the moniker, the PS5 Pro has already been launched outside India back in 2024, and its model number is already known. The model number matches the one that has now been discovered on the BIS certification, thus confirming that the PS5 Pro has now been BIS certified.

Some might wonder why it did not launch in India earlier. At that time, Sony had clarified that “PS5 Pro will not be available in some countries (which presently includes India) where the 6GHz wireless band used in IEEE 802.11be (Wi-Fi 7) has not yet been allowed.”

However, in January 2026, the Government of India delicensed the lower 6 GHz spectrum band (5925–6425 MHz) for indoor Wi-Fi use, with certain riders. This effectively opened the doors for OEMs to introduce new devices that support Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7.

With this regulatory approval in place, along with the recent BIS listing, the PS5 Pro’s India launch can now be expected soon. Typically, when a product appears on the BIS certification, it launches within a month or two. However, Sony has not made any official statement regarding this yet.

Currently, the PS5 and PS5 Slim models are available in India, and the PS5 Pro would become the third variant in the PS5 series of consoles if it launches in the market.

But as always, there’s more to the story.

Here is more to it.

GTA 6 – Pricing leaked

A new alleged listing has now popped up on a digital gaming store called Loaded. As per the listing, it shows that the Xbox Series X/S variant will cost ₹11,607.59 and the PC variant will cost ₹7,866.89, but it does not show pricing for the PS5 version. There is also an option to check the pricing as per your region. For example, in the USA, it shows the pricing for the Xbox Series X/S as $124.19, while for the PC variant, it shows $84.19.

Now, we shouldn’t have so much hope with this listing, because back in March 2025, another listing had popped up on a website called brach.ch, which is a major online retailer in Switzerland. At that time, the GTA 6 page on that site showed a pricing of 99.00 CHF for the PS5 version, which was roughly around $112 USD. And since in Europe there is VAT included, it was concluded that the pricing in the USA would be around $100 USD. But that changed, since Rockstar pushed the launch date from December 2025 to May 2026, and again pushed it further to November 2026, citing that the game is still not perfect yet.

For those who don’t know, GTA 6’s first trailer was released in December 2023 and got around 90.6 million views on YouTube within 24 hours. Ever since then, the launch date seems to be pushing further and further, which is now set for November 19, 2026.

As stated above, this pricing should be taken with a pinch of salt, and let’s see if Rockstar sticks to its promised launch date this year or not.
