Google Fitbit Edge – Specifications and Features

About the newly launched Fitbit Edge, it features a 1.34″ (34mm) AMOLED colour display with Always-On Display support, backlighting, and adjustable brightness. The device is powered by the Ambiq Apollo 510 (AP5) MCU and is coupled with 64MB NOR flash memory. Seven days of minute-by-minute motion data and daily totals for the previous 30 days can be stored on it, while heart-rate data is recorded at two-second intervals.

In terms of design, a case made from 100% recycled aluminium and an Active Band made from silicone with a soft-touch coating are offered. The device measures 39.22 × 25.56 × 11.58mm and weighs 17.7g without the band. Additionally, 5ATM water resistance and an IP68 dust- and water-resistance rating are given as well.

A 65mAh rechargeable lithium-ion battery is equipped within the Fitbit Edge, and up to seven days of battery life is claimed. It takes approximately 90 minutes to fully charge the device, whereas five minutes of charging is said to provide up to one day of battery life. The battery weighs 1.35g.

Furthermore, Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity and built-in GPS with GPS and Galileo satellite support are included. Smartphones running Android 11 or later and iOS 16.4 or later are supported, and users will need a Google Account and the Google Health app to use the device.

Regarding its sensors, an altimeter, accelerometer, gyroscope, ambient-light sensor, far-field skin-temperature sensor, red and infrared SpO2 sensors, electrical sensors compatible with the ECG app, and a PPG optical heart-rate sensor are part of the device.

Coming to the fitness features, personalised fitness plans through Google Health Coach, more than 40 exercise modes, and automatic activity recognition for over 40 exercise modes are offered. Live workout metrics can be viewed on both the tracker and mobile app, and post-workout summaries are also available.

Additionally, floor and elevation tracking, GPS tracking for outdoor exercises, a workout intensity map in the Google Health app, Cardio Load, Readiness, step tracking, distance and pace tracking, Active Zone Minutes, and VO2 Max are included. Both 24/7 and resting heart-rate tracking are supported, along with live heart-rate sharing with compatible exercise equipment.

About its health features, the Fitbit Edge offers Google Health Coach health and wellness insights, advanced sleep tracking, monthly insulin-resistance trends, monthly blood-pressure trends, and menstrual-cycle tracking. The ECG app, AFib detection, irregular heart-rate notifications, high and low heart-rate notifications, skin-temperature tracking, and SpO2 monitoring are also given.

Other features include smartphone notifications, quick replies to messages, universal media controls for a connected phone, an alarm, and a timer.

Google Fitbit Edge – Colour Options and Stephen Curry Special Edition

The standard Fitbit Edge comes in four case and band combinations — Matte Black aluminium with Obsidian Active Band, Satin Silver aluminium with Fog Active Band, Satin Pyrite aluminium with Olive Active Band, and Champagne Gold with Canyon Active Band.

Regarding the Stephen Curry Special Edition, it features a Satin Pyrite aluminium case paired with a special band in a Rye and game-day orange colour scheme. Recycled polyester yarn, a water-repellent coating, moisture-wicking properties, stainless-steel lugs, and a raised interior pattern for increased airflow are its key band details.

Google Fitbit Edge – Pricing and Availability

The standard Fitbit Edge has been introduced at USD 179.99, whereas the Stephen Curry Special Edition is priced at USD 219.99. Pre-orders are now open through the Google Store and retail partners, and retail availability will begin on the 27th of October 2026.

Google’s New Health Device Teased – Fitbit Edge Expected

Via a new post shared by Google Health on X, the brand has teased an upcoming device with the message, “Get an Edge on your health. 10.12.26.” Apart from this, no other details have been shared by the brand. However, the mention of ‘Edge’ suggests that the teaser could be referring to the Fitbit Edge, which recently appeared in a report from Dealabs.

Speaking about its revealed/expected specs, as per the Dealabs report, the upcoming Fitbit Edge will feature a 1.34″ rectangular AMOLED touchscreen with Always-on display support. It is said to run on Fitbit OS with Google Play, and will be compatible with smartphones running Android 11.0 or later and iOS 16.4 or later. Bluetooth 5.4 and GPS connectivity have also been mentioned.

The device is also tipped to offer step, distance, calorie, heart rate, sleep, and menstrual cycle tracking, along with SpO2, skin temperature, ECG, atrial fibrillation detection, and irregular heart rhythm alerts, Cardiac load, fitness, VO2 max, and trends in blood pressure and insulin resistance.

Additionally, over 40 exercise modes are expected to be offered, including tracking for activities such as running, swimming, and golf. Automatic activity recognition and elevation tracking via an altimeter have also been pointed out.

Coming to its sensors, the report mentions an accelerometer, barometer, gyroscope, heart rate sensor, red and infrared sensors for SpO2 monitoring, electrical sensors compatible with the ECG app, an ambient light sensor, and a pedometer.

Also to add, personalised coaching designed with Gemini is expected to be available, along with a personalised fitness programme, Ask Coach, and real-time coaching on the wrist.

Regarding its battery, the Fitbit Edge is said to pack a user-replaceable lithium-ion battery, offering up to seven days of battery life or up to two days with Always-on mode enabled. A full charge is tipped to take two hours via USB-C, while five minutes of fast charging is claimed to offer up to 24 hours of battery life.

The device is also expected to feature an aluminium case and a silicone sport strap with a clasp, along with 5 ATM water resistance and an IP68 rating. Its dimensions are listed as 11.58 x 39.22 x 25.56 mm, with a weight of 17.7 gm. The size S band is said to fit wrists measuring 130–170 mm, while the size L band will fit wrists measuring 170–210 mm.

As per the report, the box will include the Fitbit Edge, sport bands in both S and L sizes, a USB-C fast charging cable, and a quick start guide. Speaking about its pricing, Dealabs has tipped a price of €179 for the European market.

Safety Signal support ending on selected Pixel Watch LTE-enabled models

Support for Safety Signal will end on 12^th December for Pixel Watch 2 (LTE) and Pixel Watch 3 (LTE).

Existing Safety Signal users will receive advance notice via email and push notifications. During the 30-day transition period from the date of the email, users may still access the features made available via Safety Signal without a standalone carrier plan. After December 12, 2026, this access will end.

Core emergency features such as Emergency SOS, Fall Detection, and Safety Check will continue to work whenever your watch is connected to WiFi, paired via Bluetooth with a phone nearby, or connected to an active cellular line through your carrier.

To maintain continuous access to Emergency SOS, Fall Detection, and cellular capabilities when away from your phone, you can set up a mobile plan or eSIM through a supported carrier.

Regarding its health features, HONOR lists cardiac-arrest monitoring, Cuffless Blood Pressure 2.0, ECG recording and atrial-fibrillation screening. The cardiac-arrest and blood-pressure features require participation in the respective research programmes, while continuous glucose monitoring works through a connected external glucose monitor. For positioning, the HONOR Watch 6 Pro uses the HONOR Polaris Positioning System with dual-frequency L1+L5 support. It supports GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou and QZSS, while dedicated badminton and football activity modes and trackback navigation are also available.

Google Fitbit Air India Availability

The banner on Flipkart mentions that the Google Fitbit Air is “Coming soon” to India, while the microsite reveals that orders will begin on October 2nd, 2026.

The wearable is shown in four colour options, which include light green, black, blue and coral red.

Regarding the pricing, the earlier Amazon India listing had shown two different prices of INR 15,600 and INR 15,800.

However, tipster Sanju Choudhary had suggested that the Google Fitbit Air might come with a starting price between INR 12,999 and INR 13,999. Pricing within this range had also appeared on its Flipkart product listing, although the wearable was marked as coming soon.

Google had earlier confirmed that the Fitbit Air would launch in India in October, but had not shared an exact date at the time. With Flipkart now revealing when orders will begin, more details regarding the official Indian pricing are expected to be revealed soon.

On the fitness side, the OPPO Watch S2 introduces a FatMax fat-burning mode (claimed exercise heart-rate accuracy of 98.8%) that determines a personalised fat-burning heart-rate range using information such as the user’s height, weight, resting heart rate, and maximum oxygen uptake, which then provides guidance for maintaining the optimal fat-burning zone and displays the estimated amount of fat burned in grams.

To note, its sleep-apnoea screening and ECG analysis software have received Class II medical-device certification in China.

The earbuds can reportedly suppress up to 99.8% of everyday environmental noise and feature a new adaptive noise-cancellation mode designed to reduce pressure inside the ears.

AI-powered two-way clear calling is supported in environments with noise levels of up to 110dB. The earbuds also offer AI real-time translation without requiring users to speak directly into their smartphones. Additionally, the earbud stems can function as microphones while recording vlogs.

Cross-device dual connectivity, music playback control, skip tracks, adjust the volume, open the translation feature, and answer calls through voice commands.

As for the battery backup, the OPPO Enco X4 is claimed to deliver up to 53 hours of total listening time with the charging case and a ten-minute charge is also said to provide up to 4.5 hours of playback.

Availability

There are three colour options: Original colour (Titanium Alloy Edition), Moonlight and Wilderness. The Bluetooth version is priced at 999 Yuan and the eSIM version is priced at 1399 Yuan.
