The music streaming app – Amazon Music was launched in India back in 2018 as an exclusive perk for Amazon Prime customers, and now, the platform has expanded itself with the introduction of three different plans. This includes the top-tier Amazon Music Unlimited plan, which has been brought out for both Prime and non-Prime members in the country.

Check out the details below.

Amazon Music – Three Plans Introduced in India

As mentioned, Amazon Music has now been divided into three different plans or tiers in India, and the biggest update is the arrival of Amazon Music Unlimited. This is the new premium paid plan from the brand’s end, and it will be offering users access to over 100 million songs and podcasts with no ads. Users will also be able to download songs and listen to them offline, while studio-quality sound, including Dolby Atmos, will also be made available with this plan.

To note, Amazon Music Unlimited has been priced at INR 99 per month for Amazon Prime members. For users who do not have an Amazon Prime membership, the same plan can be availed by paying INR 119 per month. Amazon is also offering a free trial for the newly-introduced plan, under which Prime members will be getting a 6-month free trial, whereas non-Prime members will be able to get a 3-month free trial. After the free trial period ends, users will have to pay the monthly subscription fee based on their membership status.

Speaking more about the second plan, Amazon Music for Prime members will continue to be available for users who have an active Amazon Prime membership. With this plan, users will still get access to over 100 million songs and podcasts without having to pay any extra amount. However, there is a catch. Amazon has now changed this plan, and Prime members will hear some ads while listening. Along with this, offline downloads will also no longer be available under the Amazon Music for Prime members plan.

There is one more thing that users must keep in mind. Amazon Music Free is also going to be introduced soon, and this will be the free version of the app for users who do not want to pay for a subscription. This plan will allow users to listen to the music catalogue for free, but it will come with ads and will not offer premium features like offline downloads or the highest audio quality.

Regarding the Amazon Music Free plan, the company is yet to reveal its exact launch timeline. As of now, Amazon Music Unlimited stands as the new top-tier paid plan in India, while Prime members will continue to get access to Amazon Music with a few changes.

Amazon has officially announced the integration of Amazon MX Player with Prime Video in the Indian market. This latest move will create one of the biggest streaming platforms in the country, combining both premium and free video contents under a single platform.

Here’s more about the update.

Amazon MX Player Integrated With Prime Video in India

As per the details shared, this latest integration is aimed at making Prime Video a one-stop entertainment hub for users in India. Prime members will now be able to access a much wider catalogue of original and exclusive contents across different devices, while also getting the flexibility to choose between ads-supported streaming or an ads-free experience via additional plans. Also to add, users who are not interested in paying for subscriptions too will now get access to a broader collection of free video contents through the unified platform.

Speaking more, this move follows Amazon’s acquisition of MX Player assets back in 2024, which were initially merged with the brand’s miniTV service. The long-term goal behind the integration has been to combine India’s large free streaming audience together with Prime Video’s premium subscription service under one brand itself. This means that users will now be able to access subscription-based contents (SVOD), free ads-supported shows (AVOD), and movie rental services (TVOD) all from a single application.

Aligning with this latest update, Amazon has also shared details regarding how the service will function across different devices. On iPhones, smart TVs, and web browsers, the Amazon MX Player application will automatically redirect users to Prime Video. However, things are said to be slightly different for Android users. As per the details shared, the Android application will continue to function as a local video player for personal files too, while also being rebranded with a dedicated Prime Video experience.

Stay tuned for more updates!

Earlier F1 races were broadcast on ESPN, but now Apple has secured the streaming rights.

Reportedly, Apple has paid $750 million for this five-year deal.
Apple TV will deliver comprehensive coverage of Formula 1, with all practice, qualifying, Sprint sessions, and Grands Prix available to Apple TV subscribers. Select races and all practice sessions will also be available for free in the Apple TV app throughout the course of the season. In addition to broadcasting Formula 1 on Apple TV, Apple will amplify the sport across Apple News, Apple Maps, Apple Music, and Apple Fitness+. Apple Sports, the free app for iPhone, will feature live updates for every qualifying, Sprint, and race for each Grand Prix across the season, with real-time leaderboards, season driver and constructor standings, Live Activities to follow on the Lock Screen, and a designated widget for the iPhone Home Screen.

It is revealed that F1’s own premier content offering- F1 TV Premium will continue to be available in the US via an Apple TV subscription only and will be free for those who subscribe.

Commenting on this partnership, Formula 1’s President and CEO, Stefano Domnicali, said, “This is an incredibly exciting partnership for Apple and the whole of Formula 1 that will ensure we can continue to maximize our growth potential in the U.S. with the right content and innovative distribution channels. We are no strangers to each other, having spent the past three years working together to create F1 The Movie, which has already proven to be a huge hit around the world. We have a shared vision to bring this amazing sport to our fans in the U.S. and entice new fans through live broadcasts, engaging content, and a year-round approach to keep them hooked. I want to thank Tim Cook, Eddy Cue, and the entire Apple team for their vision and passionate approach to delivering this partnership, and we are looking forward to the next five years together.”

Apple has announced that additional information, including production details, product enhancements, and all the ways fans will be able to enjoy F1 content across Apple products and services, will be announced in the coming months.

Netflix has confirmed it used generative artificial intelligence to create visual effects in one of its original series for the first time. Companies creating video AI models frequently propose collaborations with Hollywood studios, but Netflix has now moved from discussions to actual implementation. During the company’s second-quarter earnings call, co-CEO Ted Sarandos announced that the platform featured “the very first GenAI final footage to appear on screen” in the Argentine show. The streaming giant employed AI technology to produce a building collapse scene in the Argentine sci-fi series “El Eternauta” (The Eternaut).

Netflix’s internal production team worked with Eyeline Studios, a production innovation group, to create a complex visual effects sequence of a building collapsing in Buenos Aires for the post-apocalyptic series based on the acclaimed 1957 Argentine comic book. According to Sarandos, using AI allowed the team to complete the sequence 10 times faster than traditional methods. “The cost of it just wouldn’t have been feasible for a show in that budget,” he noted during the earnings call. Netflix underlined that AI is a tool to enhance creativity rather than replace human workers, with Sarandos stating, “This is real people doing real work using better tools.” Beyond visual effects, Netflix is incorporating generative AI into a variety of platforms. Earlier this year, Netflix introduced an AI-powered search feature for select iOS users in Australia and New Zealand.

“El Eternauta” is currently available globally on Netflix, featuring six episodes of the sci-fi series. The show’s success reportedly contributed $34 million to the Argentine economy back in May 2025. Netflix revealed impressive second-quarter earnings of 2025, with sales of $11.08 billion, a 16% increase over last year, and a profit of $3.13 billion. The business stated that customers viewed over 95 billion hours of material in the first half of 2025, with non-English titles accounting for one-third of total viewership.
