Xiaomi Autumn Flagship Product Launch: Confirmed for next week

The launch event will be held next Monday (7^th September) at 19:00 (local time).

At the event, Xiaomi will be unveiling the Xiaomi SkyNomad N70 Pro, N70 Max, and N90 Max models. Along with this, the company will also be launching two new flagship products: the Xiaomi 18 Fold and the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max.

Coming to the Xiaomi SkyNomad models, all upcoming models will be available in both 5-seater and 7-seater configurations. They feature a front double wishbone+ rear multi-link independent suspension, high-speed tyre blowout stability control, and a standard Xiaomi Kunlun 1.5T range extender for long range and low fuel consumption.

Standard features include LiDAR, an NVIDIA Thor driver-assistance chip, and all-safety protection, utilising 2200MPa Xiaomi super-strong steel, an embedded roll cage, and integrated hot-formed door rings.

Now, the two new flagship products: the Xiaomi 18 Fold and the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max are confirmed to be powered by Xiaomi’s all-new Xring O3 chipset. It was also announced that the upcoming Xiaomi 18 Fold will be the world’s first device that will arrive with CXMT’s LPDDR6 RAM.

Recently, the alleged Xiaomi 18 Fold and Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max were also spotted on the Geekbench database.

Xiaomi Vision GT

Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo is a globally acclaimed cross-border automotive concept initiative. It integrates AI, an intelligent ecosystem, aerodynamics, and advanced design philosophies. It boasts an Active Wake Control system, halo-shaped taillights, and accretion rims.

On the inside, it features an X-shaped Steer-by-wire, a cocoon-shaped sofa and advanced controls. Users can also customise Xiaomi Vision GT Software Themes across the steering wheel display, compatible Xiaomi watches, and smartphones.

Xiaomi SU7 Ultra

The SU7 Ultra is equipped with the Xiaomi Hyperengine V8S that produces 27,200 rpm, 635Nm peak torque and 578ps horsepower. It weighs 1900kg and is capable of generating 2145kg of downforce. In April 2025, the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra prototype completed a lap time of 6’22”091 on the Nürburgring Nordschleife. Also in April 2025, the Nürburgring confirmed that an SU7 Ultra lapped the Nordschleife in 7:04.957, a record in the circuit’s Electric Executive Car Class.

The powertrain consists of two HyperEngine V8S motors and one HyperEngine V6S motor, which, combined with the self-developed tri-motor torque vectoring control system, provides 0-100km/h acceleration in 1.97s, 0-200km/h acceleration in 5.96s and up to 350 km/h top speed.

It comes with high-power battery packs that offer up to 1330 kW of ultra-high discharge power, 897 V peak voltage, and a 5.2C charging rate. The SU7 Ultra boasts a track-optimised fixed rear spoiler, ultra-large rear diffuser, open front & rear wheel arches, ultra-large front splitter and front wheel diffuser, and 100% carbon-fibre exterior panels.

Xiaomi SU7 Max

The SU7 Max was already unveiled in the global markets in March 2026. It arrives with 508 kW, a 101.7 kWh ternary-lithium pack, and a claimed 835 km on the CLTC. It offers 0-100 km/h acceleration in 3.08s. The Max variant comes with standard LiDAR, higher compute, a refined chassis, and other comfort features.

Ather Konarc: Features

The scooter comes with a metal body, steel chassis and a centre stand. The LED headlight is mounted on the handlebar cowl, and there is also a massive LED DRL. The side panels feature sharp creases. It comes with a large seat, a substantial pillion adjustable backrest and the floorboard is also spacious.

It gets a Showa telescopic fork and a monoshock, while there are 14-inch alloy wheels at both ends. There is a front disc brake and a rear drum brake, while it also boasts Ather’s Advanced Electrical Braking System, which combines regenerative braking with conventional braking.

The Konarc features a TFT instrument console with smartphone connectivity. It includes features introduced with AtherStack 7.0. Voice control, full-fledged navigation, pothole alerts, tow alerts, crash alerts, riding modes, reverse mode, new airwalk mode, and hill-hold assist are the features incorporated in the scooter. It boasts a 1352 mm wheelbase.

Keyless entry with MagicKey, an auto pop-up feature for the boot, a large 31-litre underseat storage area that can accommodate up to two half-face helmets and an apron-mounted cubbyhole for smaller items are some of its other features. The scooter can automatically lock itself when the rider walks away.

The scooter comes with multiple battery options: 2.1kWh, 2.7kWh, 3.5kWh. There are four claimed range figures: 100km, 125km, 161km, and 200km. The Konarc can be charged with a 450W on-board charger+ plug. The company has also rolled out a combined charging feature; users can add another 450W charger to have a combined charging capacity of 900W.

The electric scooter has a top speed of 70 km/h for the S-Line variant and 80 km/h for the Z-Line variant.

Features

Exterior

On the outside, the EV gets LED projector headlamps with LED daytime running lights and an illuminated MG logo positioned between them. The front bumper has a closed-off front fascia, while it features 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. There is an automatic powered tailgate, roof rails, and black cladding around the wheel arches. It comes with LED tail-lamps and a sculpted rear bumper on the rear side.

It measures 4,745mm long, 1850mm wide and 1770mm tall, with a 2,810mm wheelbase. Coming to the boot space:

• 5-seat version gets 610L
• 7-seat version gets 192L with all three rows in use and 528L with the third row folded

Colour options include: Khaki Green, Aurora Silver, Starry Black, Celadon Blue and Pearl White.

Interior

It features a 15.6-inch infotainment screen, an 8.8-inch digital driver’s display, wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, wireless phone charging, gesture controls, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, 256-colour ambient lighting, a 10-speaker infinity sound system, rear window sunshades, connected car tech and a driver’s seat with memory and auto-retract functionality.

There are different cabin modes: Nap, Camp, Energise, Pro Pet, Valet and Quiet modes.

Safety

• A 360-degree camera with transparent chassis and wheel-view functions

Battery and range

The EV gets a 69.2kWh battery paired with a front-mounted electric motor producing 204hp and 310Nm. It uses a CCS2 charging connection and supports DC fast charging at up to 90kW. A portable charger that plugs into a 15A socket is also offered. The company claims a 517km MIDC range and a 0-100km/h time of 8.2 seconds.

The EV also supports vehicle-to-vehicle load (V2L) and vehicle-to-vehicle function (V2V).

Availability

The five-seat version is offered only in the Essence variant and is priced at Rs 22.99 lakh, while the seven-seat version comes in three trims:

• Excite: Rs 19.49 lakh
• Exclusive: Rs 21.99 lakh
• Essence: Rs 23.49 lakh

There is a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) programme, with prices starting at Rs 13.99 lakh, while buyers of this programme pay a separate battery rental of Rs 4.90 per km.

Mahindra BE 6 SPORTEQ

It is offered across 8 variants: One, Two, Three, Three+, Four, FE, FE Four and Launch Edition.

On the outside, it looks similar to the standard model, except for the ‘Sporteq’ badge. It has the same LED headlights, C-shaped LED DRLs and two-tone alloy wheels.

The Sporteq gets a black and tan interior and comes with a new dashboard without the central spine. It improves access to the wireless charging pad and USB Type- C ports. Panoramic glass roof, aircraft-inspired roof-mounted controls, thrust-lever-inspired gear lever, rear AC vents, armrests with cup holders and large boot space are also offered.

From variant TWO onwards, all variants feature a 12.3-inch three-screen coast-to-coast display, creating a more immersive and futuristic cockpit. Customers seeking the original race-inspired cockpit with two screens and the signature halo design can opt for the SPORTEQ Freedom Edition.

A 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, Google Gemini integration, ventilated front seats, 7 airbags, level 2 ADAS and a tyre pressure monitoring system are also some of the highlights.

It offers Acceleration Boost (0-100 km/h in 6.44 sec).

Beyond the existing 59 kWh and 79 kWh batteries, the BE 6 SPORTEQ now also features a 70 kWh battery option that produces 245 ps and 380 Nm of torque, offering a claimed range of 651 km. It supports 7.2kW AC, 11.2kW AC and 160kW DC chargers. With the DC fast charger, a 20-80% top-up can be achieved in a claimed 20 minutes.

Mahindra has also announced that the features announced on the BE 6 SPORTEQ series will be rolled out to existing BE 6, XEV 9e and XEV 9S owners in phases starting January 2027.

2026 Pulsar 125 & Pulsar 150

The motorcycles feature a new diamond-type frame with increased stiffness, a new nitrogen gas-charged monoshock at the rear, an all-LED setup and a new exhaust setup. The signature fuel tank design remains the same. Both models get alloy wheels and a chin fairing.

The models now come with a 5-inch TFT instrument console. The console supports Google Maps mirroring and navigation, while you can also access call and message alerts and music control. The display can also store documents like the vehicle registration certificate and insurance details.

Coming to the engine, the Pulsar 125 comes with a 124.58cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 11.8 BHP@8,000 rpm and 11Nm @6,000 rpm. The Pulsar 150 is powered by a 149.5cc single-cylinder engine that produces 13.8BHP@8,500 rpm and 13.7Nm@6,000 rpm. Both models come with a 5-speed gearbox.

Three ride modes: Road, Rain and Sport are now part of the package on selected Pulsar 125 variants and across the Pulsar 150 range. Additionally, there is a Crawl Tech feature standard across both models.

The Crawl Tech system allows the motorcycle to continue moving slowly without the rider having to constantly provide throttle input. It is designed to reduce clutch and throttle effort in crawling traffic while also lowering the possibility of stalling.

Pricing

The Pulsar 125 model comes at a starting price of Rs 92,990 (ex-showroom), and the Pulsar 150 comes at a starting price of Rs 1.15 lakh (ex-showroom).

BMW X1 LWB: Features

The best-in-segment Adaptive LED headlights elevate the X1 LWB’s premium presence while intelligently adapting to changing road conditions, enhancing visibility, safety, and driver confidence at all times. It features a 9 sq ft panoramic glass roof, 18” 838M Bicolour alloys, 225/55/R18 tubeless tyres, and 3D sculpted taillights.

With BMW Digital Key Plus, you can use your smartphone or smartwatch to lock, unlock and even drive the vehicle. Parking Assistant Plus and reversing assistant with 360-degree view simplify the parking experience. It is equipped with a Harman Kardon Sound System with 12 speakers producing 205W of output, and there is also a wireless phone charger.

The BMW  1.5L TwinPower Turbo engine on the BMW X1 LWB delivers 156 hp. The engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. Volkswagen sub-4-metre compact SUV arriving in India

This is said to be Volkswagen’s most accessible model offering in the country and is aimed at addressing one of the largest segments of the Indian passenger vehicle market.

The new compact SUV will be engineered to deliver Volkswagen’s core values of German engineering, safety and build quality. The compact SUV will be built on the MQB-A0-IN platform that is developed and tailor-made for the Indian market.

Skoda Kylaq Sportline

Features

It comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, outside rear-view mirrors, faux skid plates on both bumpers and the roof. There is a roof-mounted spoiler, and the C-pillar and tailgate feature new ‘Sportline’ branding. It boasts LED fog lamps and projector LED headlights.

Inside, the Kylaq Sportline comes with leatherette seats with Sportline labels on the headrests. There are aluminium pedals, ambient lighting, wireless charging, auto AC, electric sunroof, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system and an 8-inch virtual cockpit. It is equipped with 6 speakers. It boasts a darker cabin theme.

Coming to the powertrain, the Sportline variant comes with the same 1.0L direct-injection turbo-petrol engine, producing 115hp and 178Nm of torque. It is available with 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission options.

All Kylaq variants continue to offer 6 airbags as standard. It comes with a 5 star Bharat NCAP safety rating.

After receiving this overwhelming response, Skoda has now opened bookings for the second batch of the Skoda Octavia RS in India.

Skoda Octavia RS: Second batch booking open in India

The second batch is allocated at 50 units that will be imported into India. Bookings for this model are open in India now. The limited units mean that interested buyers will have to act quickly, particularly given the strong demand for the previous Octavia RS batch in India. Deliveries are expected to begin in the upcoming festive season.

Last year, the Octavia RS was priced at Rs 49.99 lakh (ex-showroom); let’s see what price will be announced this year.

Regarding its performance aspects, it is powered by a 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine that produces 265 hp and 370 Nm of torque. A seven-speed DSG gearbox is also part of the vehicle. In terms of acceleration, it can reach 0 kmph to 100 kmph in 6.4 seconds. Also, its top speed is claimed to be 250 kmph. The new batch will be available in Mamba Green, Velvet Red and Magic Black colours.

Skoda Auto plans to import electric cars to India

Apart from the new launches, it is reported that Skoda India is planning to bring electric cars from its global portfolio to India in limited volumes next year.

According to Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Skoda Auto India, “ It may not be a local EV, but yes, we just had two blockbuster launches globally of the Epiq and the Peaq. The Elroq is the best-selling EV in Europe, so these are opportunities available to us in limited batches.”

With this decision, Skoda is expected to establish a presence in the Indian EV market which is rapidly growing in the past few year and has been enjoying a lot of consumer attention in the Indian market.
