Two British men and a Moroccan sentenced to death regarding the Russian-Ukrainian conflict

According to Russian media, two British men, Aiden Aslin and Shaun Pinner, have been sentenced to death alongside Moroccan national Saaudun Brahim.

They appeared in court in the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic, which is ruled by pro-Russian rebels and is not recognised internationally.

The three are allegedly accused of being mercenaries. However, the families of the British men claim that they served in Ukraine’s military.

Both British men are serving members of Ukraine’s armed forces, and the UK has stated that they are prisoners of war with immunity and should not face prosecution for their involvement in hostilities.
